BabyMac

I'm imagine being Adalind in that moment. Two babies, two daddies, being pulled in two different directions since it seems black claw wants her to be a part of Sean's "happy family" and I'm going to assume Adalind actually likes Nick. Who dis? Is it Wu's turn to be targeted for being associated with Nick? I'm a little surprised that Diana doesn't just leave them all to go with Adalind. I'm not sure they could stop her if she decided to leave. I agree, he looks like a caveman and it's kind of hilarious. And now I'm wondering if the little brother is actually in Eugene. Is Zuri doing this of her own choice or was she targeted because of her connection? The same way they might have used that guy that's Wu's arrested to watch him/get to him. Wu's narration is really weird. It's one thing to repeat what he's said in the memory but to narrate past that is so weird. I like that Adalind was able to use her power to first write Nick a message, and then embed a secret message within that message. I can understand why she felt she had to go though, if they're threatening both Nick and her children.

Diana having a tantrum, dangerous and yes, creepy. OK, finally, Adalind told Nick. Wu does look more like a caveman. I wonder if only Blutbads turn into werewolves when they get that virus because of their wolf nature. Wu is a werehuman? Maybe it just regresses you to a more primitive state. Hey, we got Trubel, Awesome. Good call on Panther girl Shan. Yeah, Wu is a Were-Caveman and apparently strong when he changes. That makes sense as the lycanthropes were scary strong too. I like how Adalind did the message in her message. “I have to protect you.”

Caveman is exactly what they were going for. The idea I think is that the disease taps into the primitive, more wild version of one's Wesen form, but since Wu doesn't have one, it taps into a more primitive, wild version of his human self instead. While never given a name on the show, the official name for this form is Primal Wu.

I appreciate at least the different take on Lycanothropy. Calling it both a viral and genetic disease is a bit strange, but not necessarily wrong. Virus that infect things ones in a while, rarely, actually get integrated into their host DNA and passed down through that host's descendants. Since a specific virus would only integrate once, you can even trace evolution using these imbedded viruses. And while I believe it's never been proven to happen naturally, in a lab, then did get one of these viruses to separate from a strand of human DNA, where it immediately turned into an active virus and started infecting cells again. So yes, it's actually possible for a genetic disease that was originally a virus to turn back into a virus again. Very, VERY improbable, but possible. What's more probable is that sometimes diseases can infect a species that is normally immune to it, and when they do, that host will not necessarily have the same symptoms as normal, and often more mild, so Wu's infect not triggering the same way does make some degree of sense. It's like when some cats caught COVID. They were barely sick at all and didn't at all present the normal symptoms of that infect, nor did they ever spread the infection to anyone else as far as I'm aware. Pretty sure in all of this the writers just made stuff up and were kinda right by sheer luck, but I'll still allow it.
