Zoot!

Hehe, I'm picturing the scene from Buffy where Warren's robot girlfriend is going door to door in the middle of the night looking for him. Shanbot be like "Hi! do you have a 24 hour laundramat card??"

Bonus points for the use of the word 'mosey'.

I guess key cards work different here. They are updated remotely, so if you gain or lose access to somewhere, it happens without having to exchange the physical card.

I'm glad your stuff was ok. I've never been locked out of a public place like that my place. I was living with Aunt at the time, she was away on vacation for the week & ended up going outside without grabbing my keys. I panicked & didn't know what to do. Thankfully I had my cell phone (this was pre smart phone days) & called the number for information (I guess a google search before Google existed) The operator gave me a number to a local locksmith, who instead of trying to pick the lock suggested just drilling a hole in it as that would be quicker. I ended up agreeing just so i could go back inside. After we got in the locksmith said he only accepted cash which I had non on hand so he followed me to my bank & waited in the parking lot for me to get money from the ATM (looking back at it now this sounds like it could be a scammer story in today's world) I then went to my local Home Depot store & bought a new door handle/lock & replaced the one that was drilled. The night my Aunt came home I had to stay up late & wait for her so I could let her in as it was now a new lock & when she got in I gave her a key Almost 20 years later I have always been paranoid about making sure I had my keys with me before I close my door on my way out
