I stopped watching Black lightning in middle of season 2 but when you caught up I started watching your reactions. But this is the first episode I watched before you reacted to it. I was intrigued by the name Earth Crisis. I liked it since it had parallell universes stuff but I agree that it felt weird by them using Earth 1 and Earth 2. I too thought first "is that how you spell Jennifer's name before I realized it was different spelling in the different earth's"

The CW was trying to keep Black Lightning being in Crisis under wraps (now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure we didn't even know he was in the Arrowverse back then!) This episode was first called "Third Stone from The Sun" to keep it hidden. I guess I can see why the writers were not informed about Earth-2 being gone, though continuity errors are still annoying. Plus, Earth-1's Jefferson was making Christmas preperations even though the other Earth-1 shows don't mention that Crisis is happening right around that time, so that's another error.

I believe Crisis happens on December 10, 2019, so it does happen somewhat near Christmas. It's on the newspaper in the Flash.

I'm convinced that those aren't actually Jen's doppelgangers from Earth-1 and Earth-2. As in Gen is not from E1 and Jinn is not from E2. The 1 and 2 numbers were just used to show that they are from different earths, to use as a possible outcomes of Jen's choices. The writers room should've called up Greg Berlanti or whomever is in charge of that stuff in their WBTV offices and just asked be coordinated. I think Gugenheim was showrunning the whole crossover, so they should've asked him) They would've just been given Earths 44 and 55 or something like that. Using E-1 and E-2 is confusing as fuck) But evil Jen - Jinn, she was awesome. I Am The Authority! She and Painkiller would've made a fine baddie power couple!!!

My family typically puts up the Christmas tree during Thanksgiving week, but the rest of the decorations go up a week or two before Christmas.

Black Lightning has a decent size of its fanbase that don't watch the rest of the Arrowverse. Those fans wouldn't know much about the multiverse, so they decided to simplify it and just number them 1 and 2. The show Black Lightning exists on Earth-73.
