I love how excited you got for the throne room scene. It was very well done and this show almost always nails the costumes but that jasmine one looked perfect.

I also think Aladdin is one of the best Disney movies and I even thought the live action version wasn't too bad. But I think OUAT kind of half-assed it to be honest. They were missing a lot of what made the story of Aladdin great. No genie, no Abu, and the whole thing with Aladdin being a savior, then abandoning it. They did his character wrong. I understand that they have to make the show about the main characters and not just retell the stories of the characters that pop up that you will recognize but at least don't retcon it and try to have it make sense for those characters.

LOL i always thought of your idea! sit the characters down and make them watch their own movie 🤣 could you imagine Ashley watching the movie, “Cinderella,” and saying, “who tf is Drizella and Anastasia?” LMAO since her evil step sisters had different names. It’s a funny idea to think about 🤣 I also really loved your excitement throughout the episode! I agree, there isn’t enough LGBTQ+ and Black characters. If we do, it’s always one-off or the character dies. We’ve had Merlin which was an amazing decision to make him Black but they killed him off anyway! We even got Rapunzel, which was kind of a throw off for me just bc of the color of the hair, but even that was just one episode. Or when they brought Ursula into mix. Granted, she never died but we don’t see her anymore. Ruby and Dorothy are somewhere in Oz, and Mulan isn’t with Aurora! It is sad to think about. :/
