penelope actor left the show because she was going to be in a different show i believe.

(I am going to respond to this as if I haven't seen season two.) Pretty sure that isn't it. Rumor at the time is it was done for budget reasons and because of where they wanted to take the story. With the outcry that happened over her leaving you can almost guarantee she will be back. With her and Caroline both being in Europe and both knowing about the merge there are plenty of good ways to write her back in.

Lizzie in the pilot seemed like a character I was going to hate. She has grown so much and I loved her scenes in this episode with Hope. She is still fairly selfish at this point but she has started to share her more caring side. Julie Plec did a good job of portraying her in a similar fashion to Caroline but with her own quirks.

This is kinda what Josie was talking about 2 episodes back. When she likes someone, Lizz ie will either try to win over that person first or push that person away so that she has Josie all to herself

Same her last act solidified it for me what she did was atrocious and a serious abuse of power. Invading everyone's privacy like that.

I wasn't happy about Penelope leaving, either, but I did kind of love all the things it brought up. All this time, Penelope has been trying to get Josie to fight for herself with Lizzie. It turns out, it wasn't just moral encouragement or anything; to Penelope, it was literally a matter of life and death. That if Josie lets Lizzie win everything, what's going to happen when it comes to the merge, and that Penelope couldn't bear to stay and watch Josie lose. But even if she left, I'm still a Posie shipper! There are a million ways they could think of to bring her back. I mean, hell, Ric died and turned into an evil Original vampire, then died again, and they found a way to bring him back, Penelope is just going to school in Belgium!

I agree. Well Hope shouldn't have kept this secret from Landon but what Penelope did was also not okay due to her knowing it from through spying ....

I'm a Posie, Hosie, and Handon shipper. I can't make up my mind. The actors on this show have such great chemistry with each other that it makes a bunch of different pairings possible and likeable.

Honestly, I think I’d like the twins more if they looked like either parent.. it just always bugged me. I do like how Lizzie comforted Hope. Josie and Penelope are cute, too.
