A lot of the fans figured put that Chuck was God at the end of Season 5 when he finished the story he was working on in that episode and then poofed into thin air

I haven't watched all yet, but don't you remember Castiel saying there can't be another prophet unless the previos once die something like that, and then chuck showed up in season 9, Joshua in season 5 when sam and dean dies and goes to heaven Joshua tells them that god is on earth

I knew when he disappeared at the end of season 5 but also they heavily hinted it at expos so it was spoiled that way

Fans have theorised that he was God since the end of season 5. I mean he narrated the final episode while wearing a white suit and then disappeared into white smoke. People kind of thought that was odd. But for years it was nothing more than a theory. It wasn’t until his cameo at the end of the 200th episode that really sealed the deal for a lot of people. Especially since he had been confirmed dead by Cas in like season 8. We’re really not sure if it was always the plan for him to be God or if it was something the fans wanted so much they made it a thing. All I can say is I’m really glad they committed to actually having God appear in the show. For the longest time it always seemed like something too big to show.

Ever since Chuck disappeared at the end of Season 5 fans were on two fronts. There were those that believed Chuck was God, and there were those that believed Chuck was not God. It was the first thing that was thought about right after he vanished. It was a very long debate, never answered to any degree, until right here right now. You are binging the show, so for you, it might not be much of time between the two events as it was for people watching the show in real-time. So by the time it got to now in the series the reveal was much more powerful for fans. And it definitively answered the question. ....... Now, for me personally, I was on the side that did not believe he was God, while I couldn't explain his vanishing, I chose to believe they were not going the God route with Chuck, until of course, this episode happened. I am not entirely sure if I like the fact that Chuck is God, but I get it, and it makes sense story-wise. I was hoping God would be a little more larger than life and not just show up as a "host" or in human form.

This is one of the great performances of Curtis Armstrong's (Metatron) career. Such a talented actor. And just the concept of God and his scribe sitting in a bar discussing creation and everything else like regular people is fascinating.

Honestly these seasons really are just flying by. It seems like just yesterday that you began season 10.

I'm not sure if you caught on, but to me with Chuck singing "Farewell" and the way Metatron was reading the papers, it sounded to me like this was Chuck saying goodbye, farewell. He even said, you'll call my name, and I won't be there. It's like he is expecting to die and Amara take over, like his time is gone, his time is over, and he knows it. It's very sad, and his realization that this must be the end for him. I find that ending extremely emotional.

I thought he was Chuck when he "vanished " at the end of season 5 but in "FanFiction" he came at end as "the author " and said "not bad" then I sure Chuck was God!💯👌

I have been waiting for this since season 5 lol Oh. MY. CHUCK!

We didn't really know, so much as just had a theory that he could be.

The reveal that Chuck Shurley is God was foreshadowed in his very first appearance in the season 4 episode "The Monster at the End of This Book". When discussing with Sam and Dean how it could be possible that everything Chuck wrote in his books came true, he says, "Well, there's only one explanation. Obviously, I am a god."

I believe I read somewhere, some person saying that Chuck being God was spoilered at the end of season 5 since the writers were supposedly ending the show then and there. In any case, if you haven't already, you could make a point on yourself to rewatch the final minutes of season 5 after the fight with Michael and Lucifer. Chuck was there, see what he was saying and doing to freshen up on that.

Yay! Now I can say it. Oh my Chuck! 😂 Your reaction of Chuck was for sure different than mine the first time. I was more of a scream for excitement and clap my hands like Sabrina.

Shawn Skelton

This reaction was worth the resubscribe!

It's nice to know that there are some easter eggs that you miss! Ya, there were a few easter eggs in earlier seasons that hinted at Chuck being god. That vanish at the end of that episode in season 5 was the one that convinced me... and at the time I saw your reaction to his vanish ... you said something like "...what? what was.." but you never really finished your thought, and I think if you had finished your thought and gone down that hole you would have figured it out then!

ar47yrr4p

oh...there are also some fan theories that "Chuck" is not really god...but just some other "primordial entity" pretending to be god and fooling everyone. Though I don't know how much credence I give to theories like that because I don't know how god could fool the Empty or original Death or Amara!
