Margaret shortened is Marg. In certain dialects, that r is going to be very lightly pronounced, giving us Mag. Magge (pronounced mag - gee) gradually turns into Megge as the -a- sound shifts to -e-. So that gets us Meg. From Meg, Peg is a rhyme. 😊

Disappointed that you didn't remember the Howling Commandos from Captain America. At the time it was a big deal that they appeared on the show, and a big reveal. It was also a big deal within the show, to her coworkers that Peggy knew them. That's what started her getting a bit of respect among them.

Actually he wasn't there, Tripp's grandfather was Gabriel Jones, a different black Howling Commando. It was never officially confirmed, but in season 2 Tripp went undercover as general Jones, and Tripp's mom had a framed picture on her wall with Captain America and the Howling Commandos from the first Captain America movie, in which Gabe Jones, the only black Howling Commando at the time, was in.
