Cordy and Connor, major ew.

John Sturchio

This season is really all over the place for me in terms of quality

FernWithy

Right there with you on Cordelia/Conner. Corner? Condelia? HMS NOPE?

Anonymous

So, the Cordelia/Connor ship name is: "Stop it, stop it!"

Crap Writing Co.

Not Angel at its best, but I can confirm that was all real string theory jargon, five years before The Big Bang Theory.

Lostmyshoe22

There are a lot of things that I didn’t really like the first go around but I’ve come to like and appreciate the more I’ve re-watched (Dawn, the Trio, even Riley). Cordelia/Connor scenes are not one of them. It is just as gross and painful to watch as the first time.

Timotey Kuhn

Oh dear god!!! More of the Lawnmower Man!

Timotey Kuhn

Barking dogs. Calling friends. What will interrupt Shan next episode? Come find next time here at After Show Reactions!! :D LULZ... ;)

The Movie Guru

I don't appreciate the beginning of this season, the middle is fantastic, and the last part is weird but good. You should do a little research into some of the production issues that they had, mainly with a member of the cast and how that affected the story of this season after you are done watching it.

Jon Dub

The first half of season 4 isn't very good, the second half is much better

The quote from Tough Love was "You, so you're saying that a powerful and mightily pissed-off witch was plannin' on going and spillin' herself a few pints of god blood until you, what, 'explained?'"

and it all started with a big bang.

Brandon Wiesner

Yeah there is a lot of debate about whether season 4 or 6 of Buffy is the worst but there is little to no debate about Angel season 4.

Anonymous

I’d say the first half of season 4 of angel is the worst. As for buffy. It’s absolutely 4. The only good thing is Spike being in it a lot and that last episode.

Jakob M - You forgot Hush when you mentioned good things about season 4.

J.D.

Also the Faith bodysnatching double-header. Frankly, just the acting makes that one - Sarah playing Faith's mannerisms and Eliza utterly nailing Buffy, right down to the speech patterns. This scene is remarkable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W3JA4mIvjs Also, Superstar is fun, New Moon Rising is really good (as is much of the early Tara / Willow stuff), and the first few episodes of the season before the Initiative starts becoming the focus are decent. I'm almost talking myself into putting it ahead of Season 6 and 7... almost.

33:35 Exactly my face the first time and yes this season, at least for me, is not the strongest.

Bisibia

Buffy season 4 is not bad. The Initiative storyline is weak, and Adam is a lame villain... but some of the best episodes of the series come from that season. Hush, Restless, The Faith 2 parter... it's by far the funniest season with episodes like Something Blue, A New Man, and Pangs. It's got some great emotional highs with Wild at Heart and New Moon Rising. The only episodes that kinda suck are the ones that are solely based around the Initiative, and there's really only 2 of them. The I in Team and Goodbye Iowa. We've got the Angel return in Yoko Factor. Uber Buffy in Primevil. Even the less than great episodes have really funny moments... like Doomed, which has a dumb plot, but gives us Spike in a Hawaiin shirt trying to off himself, and the "do it for christmas and puppies" speech at the end. Even the episode called The Initiative gives us some hilarious stuff like Spike not being able to bite Willow, and Xander and Harmony's slap fight. People really underrate the quality of that season.

UTU49

I think most Buffy fans like season 4 better than season 1.

UTU49

"People really underrate the quality of that season." Agreed.

Beauty Effulgent

I love season 4 of angel--certain storylines aside, I think it's one of the strongest seasons of Angel. But man does it start off weak....

Beauty Effulgent

Gotta disagree there man. I think s1 of Buffy is by far the worst. After that it's s4, s7 and THEN s6.... but for the record I think every season is great except s1.

Bisibia

I'm with you. Rough start... but I think the back half is better than both season 1 and 3.

Anouar

Yeah i have the same feeling, season 4 starts oke for me, but then it becomes really good, still my second favourite season.

Hans Olav

Australian Summer 2: The Return of Lawnmowerman

Anthony

This is, hands down, my favorite season of Angel. Although the first 5 episodes are less than stellar, the season gets so much better in terms of writing starting with the next episode.

What Happened to Season 1 Episode 14 "I've got you Under my skin" You missed out (and so did we :)

Ron Fehr

Lorne- "I'm not a champion. I'm just a regular kareoke-singin' empath demon." (That's regular?) Lol

Ron Fehr

The guy that Gunn roughed up (the guy taking pictures during Fred's speech)- Was that Jerry Trainor from iCarly?

Ron Fehr

I just realized that I probably wouldn't make interesting reaction videos. Shan is not afraid to speak her mind, but I tend to watch with a different mindset. For example, in this episode, I would not be hasty in looking for revenge (if I wanted to get revenge at all). To me, revenge doesn't make me a better person.

Bellatronics

Dunno if you'll see this Shan, 4 weeks on, but yes Dark Horse is the publisher of the Buffy comics. Or it was until October 2018. Now there's a new 'reboot' series of Buffy comics ,set back in high school, published by Boom. They are re-jigging things though - not only set now in 2019, but Spike and Dru are gonna show up straight away.

Bellatronics

"They talk about me in the chatty rooms?" Lol. I like the D'Hoffryn comment, I never thought of that :) Also, good reference back to what Spike said in Tough Love. Cordy/Connor - eeewww! The ickiest ship ever. bleargh.
