Since you're NOT. against the Wraith getting turned into humans cause you think it's like a mutation (you words) ....I guess that means you're also against any other form of mutant? .....Like a human with powers (watch out X-men) .....Or a human turning into a monster cause they got bit by one? (watch out vampires and werewolves) ...Y'know Froots ...People who want to "cure" others cause in THEIR. eyes being a mutant/monster/whatever-race-is-not-like-them are often on the wrong side of history ...Most obvious example of that can be found in the mid-20th century originating with a country called Germany ....Atlantis is trying to exterminate their enemy by killing a part of them ...Merely cause of what the Wraith are 4. Sheppard: "We're at war.. The Wraith will stop at nothing to kill everyone of us" ....Me in the notes: "Yeeeeeaahhh.... But this is genocide though.. That's not right" ....You: "It's not genocide.. It's just turning them into something else" ......Froots... Genocide is the intentional destruction of a people in whole or in part ...The Atlantis Expedition tried to destroy part of a Wraith and keep only the human side alive ....That's genocide on a personal level ...Which is STILL. genocide ....And that's just all kindsa fucked up 5. Yeah that's right Yogi Bear ....You live on top of a real life supervolcano ...But don't worry about those piiiickanick baskets just yet ....It's been dormant for thousands of years ......We're actually pretty lucky that in the real world we're not trying to somehow get power out of it though .....If the Yellowstone supervolcano (Or any of the other ones.. there's thought to be around 20 on Earth) were to erupt ....We could effectively say bye bye to life as we know it ...No worries Froots ...It's VERY. unlikely it'll happen in our lifetime ...Jinxed it? 6. Yeah Ronon I don't think a few more of these ships would cut it against the Wraith ....Remember The Ancients LOST. the war ....I'm assuming they had a fuckton of Aurora Class Warships and it's not exactly like we're stumbling into them on a regular basis so I'm guessing most got destroyed ....We need MUCH. more than a few ships to go up against the Wraith 8. I am confused ....Caldwell just said that the Daedalus would have to take 4 trips back and forth to rescue all the survivors cause the life support onboard the Daedalus wouldn't be able to take on having everyone onboard ......Instead we end this episode with the survivors apparently being brought to Atlantis onboard the Orion ......Which... Sure ...It's a larger ship ....But it's also in need of repairs .....I'm assuming that the life support onboard the Orion wasn't even operational until Sheppards team found the ship since the people on this planet said they didn't even know how to operate it ......Soooooo.... How come it's all of a sudden able to house all those survivors when the Daedalus couldn't cut it?? 10. HA! McKay to scientist woman after she says she'd like to study under him or something ..."First we need to get off ........Get off the planet and then you can be under me" ...volcano does some erupting... Got cut off at the most inopportune moment there mah dude 11. Aaaaaand the next scene it's Sheppard who is holding Scientist Woman: "Are you ok?" ......McKay visibly looking like "He IS. Kirk" .....Guy just can't catch a break ....Then again I don't think she was into McKay at all (But hey.. But what do I know) 12. Yup.... Some people are complete morons ....But hey... If this guy thinks he can outrun a supervolcano ...Then who am I to argue ....That's a few less idiots wasting life support onboard the Orion 13. I meaaaaaaan... You're NOT. wrong ....We DID. beam an entire building into space before ...Teeeeechnically we SHOULD. be able to beam a ship from one location to another ....But I suppose that would create a bunch of plotholes for previous episodes and perhaps future episodes aswell ...Cause if we CAN. do it ...Why don't we just do it all the time 14. Well that's weird... McKay just told Beckett he should tell the survivors to get on the floor cause the eruption is imminent ....The camera shot ends with Beckett somewhat standing in front of a transparent viewscreen .....And on said viewscreen we can see part of one of the Atlantis piers (I KNOW. the layout.. THAT'S a pier) ......WHY. is that there?? ....Are we supposed to assume that this whole facility was yet ANOTHER. old city ship??? ......Just seems like someone fucked up on the set design there with showing that pier on the screen.. Cause I feel like otherwise we would have been told that this was actually a city ship and NOT. just a facility 15. You: "It is just me or is this a very Star Trek looking ship?" .....The exterior of the Orion looks more like those flown by minor races on Star Trek... Which is kind of ironic I suppose in a way cause this ship was built by the Ancients ...The most advanced race known on Stargate ...But the bridge of the Orion does kinda look like it's influenced by designs seen on Star Trek ....It has a Captain's Chair and McKay might be sitting at what appears to be the navigation console of the ship ....Then there's the BIG. ASS. viewscreen in front of them which I absolutely LOVE. ....Cause... Gives you a nice view of space y'know? .....Sooooo... Yeah it definitely has some Star Trek-like features going for it .....Much LESS. militaristic looking than the Daedalus class ships
