Hey everyone

Sorry I've been so quiet here. The last month has been extremely difficult in so many ways and I've been trying to manage but it simply hasn't worked out.

The start of December was a little rough, but manageable. I was a little behind but I had planned to use time away from my PC at home to write at my parents while visiting them. I'd have fewer distractions and a more relaxed environment.

Instead, when I went to visit them on the 12th, I immediately contracted COVID. This messed up everyone's Christmas plans, as my parents live abroad and were planning to visit family with vulnerable members. I was sick, travel plans had to be changed at the last minute, and the entire time since I've been managing the physical fatigue in the recovery phase of COVID and the mental exhaustion of having to manage the impact on my family.

I'm still only functioning at a very simple level. I would normally have a room-mate here to help support me but they're away until after the New Year, further pushing my mental health into difficult spots as I deal with the lonely post Christmas period.

As such, I'm pausing January payments. I cannot in good faith charge for next month when I am this far behind.

The current state of affairs is that I have seven stories and four audiobooks in various states of completion. Some were Christmas based commissions for this month and are now, obviously, not relevant to the month ahead. As such I'm going to contact those people and let them know I'm willing to accept a new form for a different idea if they so choose.

Where I want to be at the end of January is to have these stories completed and to have caught up. It may be that I'm able to at least take on more work in February, but certainly not this month where I still owe work.

Obviously this is a financial hit that is going to be difficult. If you still want to support me in some way, you are welcome to contact me.

Hopefully the New Year can be a new start and I can refresh myself a little.

Thank you as always for the support you provide. It means a lot that you've all stuck around this month and I hope to get more content to you in the coming weeks.
