PowerVR Driver Profile Backport (Patreon)

Given the fact that some people prefer to stick with older Android revisions (you know who you are), I've decided to make the PowerVR driver profile fix available as a separately flashable TWRP ZIP file.

By flashing this ZIP file on top of an older LineageOS build like...

• Beta #13 (Android 10)
• Beta #12 (Android 9)
• Beta #10 (Android 8.1)

You should end up with 80% of the last beta's GPU driver fixes (essentially all of them except the Vulkan related fixes), which is enough to fix Yaba Sanshiro, the Sega Saturn emulator.

The same ZIP can also be installed on...

• CleanROM 2.1.1.0 (Android 7.0)

But sadly, CleanROM runs on a way older PowerVR 1.7 driver (compared to the PowerVR 1.9 driver in LineageOS), and as such will benefit from the fix in a smaller capacity.

From what testers have reported, it will still better the graphical glitches in Yaba Sanshiro, but to a lesser degree (with a good chunk of sound related crashes thrown in).

Knowing that CleanROM users can still benefit from this fix (to an extend), I've decided to place this ZIP in the 5$ VIP Pass tier, so that it can bleed through to the general public in the usual 30-day early-access fashion.

Furthermore, the same ZIP should be usable for other PowerVR GX6250 based devices like the Mi Pad 3 and the Alldocube X, although only the Alldocube X should be able to fully utilize the fix as that is the only other device out in the wild with the PowerVR 1.9 driver.

All other PowerVR GX6250 devices will benefit to the same extend that CleanROM does.
