318 - Nobody Cares! (Patreon)

Hello, dear bros. How is everything? It is Monday yet again and you know what that means.

I don't know how many of you remember this, but both PT and WT had an \"excuse message\" in it. In princess trainer it was somewhere around the time Lola moves in with you. This was the picture that was shown in the original game (which later got replaced with the proper content in the Gold Edition):

As for WT, I don't recall there being any visual representations, but there was that phoenix bit that basically was also an unfinished part of the game that ended (I think) also with some sort of message saying: sorry, I had no time to finish this. (Only WT never got a Gold Edition.)

What I am trying to say is this: I tend to apologize and hope that people will be understanding. And although some of you are, the majority could not care less (even if they don't say it to my face). And I must say, that I don't blame them. When I play a game, last thing I want to do is listen to the author's excuses. So, this time I will be doing things differently: there will be a lot of excuses every Monday, but non in the game itself! ^_^ I will ignore the pressure I feel to release this game before it's fully finished, grit my teeth and keep on working and hope for the best -_-

Just to be clear, the pressure I feel is mostly from myself. You guys are very patient with me, I have no reason to complain. This is my own fight with my own ambitions. -_- 

To other news. Check out my new phone strap. I ordered it on AliExpress for less than 2 euros! It took a while to get here, but it was totally worth the wait. The photo does not do it justice. It looks magnificent in reality. In fact it looks so good that I decided not to attach it to my phone just yet, because I want to keep its clean look ^^

The work. Apart from the usual testing and coding I had to spend some extra time adding a short scene to every wedding event. Before, after the wedding the screen would fade out into the next day, but while testing I realized that the transition feels a bit abrupt that way. So I decided to add a little scene where Genie brings his new wife home and introduces her to his other wives.

There are 6 bachelorettes in total in the game so I had to write and program 6 different scenes. That is not all though. Since technically you can pursue the girls in any order I had to make sure the scenes playout differently depending on who you marry before who.

For example,  although it is technically possible to marry Jasmine before everyone else, I think the majority of players won't be doing that. That means that she will be absent in many of these scenes and won't have the chance to say the things she would do say otherwise. What this means is I needed to make sure that no matter in which order you marry the girls, the scenes still make sense and play out more or less naturally. This means some of the stuff I wrote will never be seen by some of you, but at the same time it should create a much more personalized experience for the player.
