20th August - Santiago Rusiñol our local artist hero! (Patreon)

As someone who loves painting it is very exciting that nearby Sitges just two miles away was one of the centres of the Catalan modernisme (Art Nouveau movement).

The main man who made it so was Santiago Rusiñol who created a studio in the beautiful Cau Ferrat overlooking the sea .

As Jordi talked about Santiago Rusiñolwas very fond of garden paintings. I posted some before and and as you can see we found a beauty on display at the museum as well!.

I also love the three painitngs he did the eves - the first is ‘Painting’ , the second ‘Art’ and the third with the gorgeous fountain is ‘Poetry’

At the end of the museum is the incredible room with the statues overlooking the sea. It is a wonderful place to contemplate!
