A few yards from the King and Queen of The Netherland’s main palace, in The Hague, sits my sister’s design studio, Vanessa Leyland Interiors, which forms part of an art gallery De Twee Pauwen. By some chance of luck, the Ukrainian artist whose sculpture can be seen in the window at the start of this movie was there and able to tell me about another piece of his just sold. It’s made of stone taken from the Black Sea of The Crimea in a time before the war, a time of peace. It’s a beautiful figurative sculpture that he says was inspired by the dancing light reflections, so common to that beautiful piece of coastline. Hopefully I’ll be able to show this conversation in an upcoming vlog.

How cool that your sister’s studio is in such an historic area!
