Camilla is up a ladder again! When we had the lead pipes leaking in the wall they caused damage to the exterior facade with an unsightly Saltpeter stain. Thankfully the boiling heat has dried out the wall and much to our relief it now brushes off. Unless you were looking hard you wouldn’t know there had been a problem.

I looked up Saltpeter on wiki as I was interested in what it actually.

"Saltpeter (or saltpetre) is the mineral form of potassium nitrate (KNO3), a compound. food preservative and additive, fertilizer, and oxidizer for fireworks and rockets. It is one of the principal ingredients in gunpowder:
