A busy old day today with me in the office job with a myriad of calls and meetings and Camilla busy editing and gardening - but I did take a moment mid-morning to sit down and look at these amazing books which Stephanie Murray sent, having seen our Gustavian table and chairs (thank you so much Stephanie).

I love the dusky subtle colour ways of the Swedish Gustavian period (1770-1790)  which definitely gives us inspiration for the interiors of Can Punxes which, while Art Nouveau, also has similar subtle dusty colours.

Lars Sjöberg is a renowned restorer of historic Swedish interiors and used to be a curator of the Royal Castles in Swede. His wife Ursula is also a specialist in Swedish interior design so you can imagine the places they have worked on are amazing.  Interestingly Lars has also advised Ikea!

Very inspirational and just a joy to read over a cup of tea!
