The underside of a bench seat hides a multitude of problems! 

This piece is certainly going to keep us busy as we work out how on earth we can make it structurally sound once more. We intend to pull off the MDF and newer pieces of wood, remove the peeled and damaged veneer, replace the missing foot and bring it back to a more stable sort of beauty! 

It's going to be a super helpful project to learn some skills in furniture restoration on a piece that though pretty, isn't particularly valuable - it's made from pine and is severely damaged, so we think we can really help add some value to it! 

The hope is to make it durable enough that it could go in a renovated outbuilding in the garden one day.
