I love these doors in the mansion into the dining room.  I am noticing them more today because it is cold and so we keep the doors shut to keep the heat from the fire in.

I love the woodwork carving at the bottom and of course their height and the different colour glass and the patterns on them.

Unfortunately one of the little panes is broken.  It is tricky to see in the photo but it is the yellow pane near the handle at the bottom on the right door.  In real life it is very prominent. I worry that finding a replacement with the same colour and same pattern will be an incredible challenge as this is original glass we are pretty sure.  If we can't find the exact match I wonder whether we find a near match for one or replace all of the same colour and pattern. I am not sure what a restorer would suggest.

Mind you, it could be worse, frankly I am surprised that in 112 years only one little pane has smashed especially given how many children there are in the house!

Do you love the door colors? If so, there are some great ideas in the comments. If you would really prefer different colors perhaps wait until you could get authorization to replace them with other colors.

Yes it might be that changing the colour could be an option if that is the only way to get matching panes. Apparently the yellow in this pattern is not easy to source. I quite like the idea of a green or something to match the garden theme of the room!
