2 December - angels at the gate (Patreon)

Today I haven’t taken any photos as have been stuck at my desk- but I remembered as I took this photo last weekend that I’d wanted to show you. I love the fact that during the Modernist period so much attention was paid to decorative detail and bringing so much beauty to life. I can’t really imagine a gate like this being made today. It’s a shame that most buildings nowadays are so plain in comparison - but maybe one day there will another beautiful decorative architectural age. I hope so!
