Many houses have a 'cupboards of doom'! and ours were definitely our linen cupboards on the 1st floor landing.  They had no shelves and so it was quite stressful getting the bed linen out and everything was piled up in a huge heap.

Now we have lovely new shelves made from proper strong wood.  We had to be quite careful as the rules are so strict we are not allowed to change anything in the the building without the listed building permission - so rather than drilling shelves we have put in removable shelves that aren't actually attached to the wall so they are furniture not permanent fittings!

It's a small thing but having the linen cupboards sorted is a little step forward and one we are very happy about.

I know that being completed must feel great!! I moved 6 moths ago, and for the entire time I have had all bedlinen and towels in bin bags all thrown on top of each other in the shelf-less linen cubboard. buying shelving is on my to-do list, but garden is getting priority while the weather lasts. I actually dread opening the door to said cubboard as it takes about ten minutes to find an item which normally would be stacked neatly and visibly. It must be such a re-lief to you!!
