Today is the Spanish national day so a bank holiday for everyone and a glorious bright and sunny one it is too. Although I work British bank holidays due to my job so not for me sadly.

Camilla has been busy on restoration admin including getting a quote in for our shutters.

We had a local craftsman come round who specialises in shutters to give us a quote for restoring the ones at the front, especially the bottom two. If we can it would be nice to get the shutters restored locally and there is something lovely about a dedicated one-person operation too as he will take great care and pride we ware sure.

We looked in detail at the shutters and could see the original paintwork. It seems they were painted a rather lovely green (see the second photo).

We hope you enjoy the vlog tonight - it is quite a special one as Camilla goes into the cistern!!

A really lovely turquoise color. One of my faves. That would be beautiful out front. Happy El Dia de la Hispanidad!

The repaired (or replaced) shutters will look beautiful painted in that verdigris shade. Loved the vlog. Camilla, I hope you came home with the gorgeous desk (with all its contents) and the fountain.
