October 4th - ceiling update (Patreon)

Gosh we had so wanted to do a celebratory post today after yesterday's  but it was not to be.  The restorers came today to take samples from the dining room ceiling and sadly there is no painted ceiling remaining.  It is a real shame. So we guess the whole ceiling must have been replaced in the 1950s or something. The walls also have no decoration on too so perhaps the whole lot was just replaced for some reason.

We are a bit sad - but we suppose on the positive side we can now do more to decorate this room than we would have been able to, especially as the restorers has confirmed there are no wall paintings and it looks like the wallpaper is not original or special. So after we have listed building permissions we will go all out to make this room really spectacular and much brighter than it currently is!
