On my way home to Can Punxes today I decided to visit Cadaqués where Dalí and his Gala wife lived (when not travelling which they did a lot) since 1930 until her death in 1982. I loved seeing his art studio with its views over the rocky seascapes. These rocks feature in many of his paintings. The house has an incredibly poignant intimate feeling - as when Gala died Dalí never returned but the house is left as he left it including 2 unfinished canvases in his studio. It was a deep love affair though far from conventional! I would thoroughly recommend a visit though as the house is small it is important to book in advance. The drive there across the mountains to the sea is breathtaking.

Ps since getting home I have been trying to open the little door Camilla found - no luck yet sadly!

Thank you Penny I am really happy you like them! I love this time of year in Spain - it is still warm and bright but far less crowded and with a freshness in the air.
