Monday 19 September - a day of reflection (Patreon)

Thank you for your kind message about our latest plumbing disaster. I am currently sitting on the terrace writing this while our fantastic plumber is drilling into the wall I will show photos tomorrow of his progress but let’s just say this has turned out to be a very big job - and a reminder of just how much the fundamentals of this historic house need to be sorted out. Juanco our plumber is the nicest and kindest man and brilliant at his job so we feel in very safe hands.

Today though has mainly been about remembering. While I live in Spain now I still love the UK and all it has given me. And the Queen and the sense of history and continuity has been a big part of that. 

At the weekend we got these beautiful Anastasias which which were by my laptop when I watched the funeral coverage. Flowers to me are always a reminder of the fragility and beauty of life so I thought I would post a picture of these.  

My thoughts to everyone else remembering the Queen's life on what has been a very poignant day.
