September 11 - a day of contemplation (Patreon)

Today has been a day of rest here but also one of contemplation. Watching the Queen’s coffin be driven through her beautiful Scotland and all the people lined up to pay respects was deeply moving and quite tear jerking. And it has been moving too reading posts online for the remembrance of 9/11. My thoughts go to all of you in the United States today.

Against all that sadness it was wonderful to have Ophelia next to me in the art studio drawing her favourite subject - kittens! The innocence and joy of childhood was such a welcome tonic. Look at that smile!
