Fun fact about Aoyama: the reason he prepares his own meals is because he has IBS really bad as a result of his quirk and his recipes are made specifically made for his tummy

"Don't eat his cheese, it's filled with lies!" No no, that's cake.

Aoyama noticed that Midoriya was feeling really impatient and insecure after what'd happened at the work study, and related to that, so he tried reaching out to cheer Izuku up. He was trying to commiserate by showing how both of them have struggled to deal with the problems caused by their own quirks, which are both double-edged swords that cause them health problems. It's a bit abrupt, yes, but think about it. Midoriya was doing pretty great, in general, up until the work study stuff, where his friends were the first to notice something was up, and ask "are you okay?" But even after all of what happened, Deku still kinda *wasn't* okay, enough so that people who aren't even his friends would start to notice, and show their own concern. Aoyama is admittedly still a weirdo, but I feel like a large part of that is him hoping that "he can keep sparkling," as it were. The meaning of what he said during the license exam was probably him wondering something to the effect of "maybe I can still keep living my dream," despite that he feels like the drawbacks of his quirk might be too much for him to hope for such a bright future. He thinks Deku is feeling just as insecure about the limitations of his own quirk's severe drawbacks (which is RIGHT, even-- and Aoyama has shown to be pretty quick on the uptake, as with wondering whether Uraraka liked Deku... though, Aoyama also has no sense of occasion). And he feels like, as one of the only other people at UA who understands what it feels like to be so frustrated by the physical strain of a quirk that your body can't handle using... he feels like it's important for him to try and help. Just my perspective on it, of course, but... even then, the trust issues are still pretty entertaining, regardless of how far the streak may go, either way! They LEGIT baited us all with the first part of this, to be fair. Just some reeeeeally unfortunate pause timing to celebrate. ^^;

I don't know Alicia, Your prediction radar has been off with this series. Aoyama came in with cheese and told a personal secret and you think he's sus?

Nahhhhh not comments defending aoyama. He’s suspicious as HELL. When I first saw this episode it solidified the my traitor theory. How is his quirk that at odds with his body yet he still not only got into UA but ended up in the HERO course!?!?!?

Fenronin (Dorian Dubourg)

deku is even more shady quirk wise tho, not sure why alicia thinks quirks that are not compatible with the body isn't supposed to happen when we have all kinds of handicaps in our world and already seen a lot of quirks that are so specific and limited

OscarGrump

There’s a pervert grapefruit guy that was let into the hero course, that bleeds.

You know, I don't think anybody has really brought up the fact that in the beginning, Bakugo pulled a pretty boy impression that was amazing.
