“Come on…” Liz thought to herself, she was on edge. The clock on her phone read thirty minutes past the agreed rendezvous time. She nervously chewed on the inside of her cheek, while subtly rocking back and forth in the front seat. She scanned the same windows and perimeter for the seventy-second time. The uneasy fear inside her was unbearable. Her phone screen illuminated again. Thirty-one minutes.

“I told them this was a terrible idea!!” She thought, her left hand pulling a hair tie off her wrist. She started working it into a ponytail while visualizing the path she’d take to the house. Down the sidewalk, hop over the chain link fence, crouch-walk to the same window Briana and Julie entered. Facing the fact she was going in made fear flare. With sweaty palms, she grabbed the pepper spray in the cupholder. Liz drew in a deep breath, closing her eyes and shaking her head on the exhale. “I can’t die.” She thought, “I’m not dying for them.” When her eyes opened, she pulled the car handle open. The car lights turned on, shutting off when the door slammed shut.

She heard bugs chirping nighttime calls under the unusually warm night. White sneakers ran quickly across the street to the gate. Liz looked around 360 degrees into each house window to make sure no one was looking out. With the coast clear she crossed the first barrier. Jumping down into the crabgrass. Her heart pounded like a drum. With laser focus, she wasted no time hustling toward the window. She caught a glimpse inside before ducking beneath. It was empty.

She ducked down, then sat up against the siding. Her face scrunched as she groaned, “I barely even know these people.” She thought, banging the back of her head onto the wall. Her chest inflated up and down. It felt good to wait there for a moment. “I could leave them.” She thought, only for guilt to negate. “I promised them I’m back up.” She thought it was a shitty situation either way. The right choice was the only way forward.

“Okay, on three.” She told herself. “One… Two… THREE.” She thought but didn’t move. Liz closed her eyes tight, “Ooommm!” She groaned, forcing herself to pop up this time. The window opened easily. She pushed her torso through the threshold, then worked her legs over to step into the house.

Liz stood at the entrance of the house. To her right was the front door. In front of her was a threshold that opened up to a large living room with an L-shaped couch and large TV. To her left was a hallway. An open staircase is stacked on one side of the hallway up to the second floor. Liz wasn’t sure which direction to take first. Going completely off her gut, she turned left and started going up the stairway.

She held the pepper spray out ready to use it at a moment's notice. Her fingers shaking like a leaf. She took the first step carefully. Pressing her weight down slowly not to cause a creek. The house was completely silent. It was dreadfully eerie. The next one came slowly as well. One by one, Liz made her way up the stairs.

At the top, she slowly peaked her head around the corner. It was a dead end with three doorways on each side. Swinging her head to the other side, Liz could see an open doorway leading to a bathroom, with one doorway at the end of the hall. “Cover as much ground as possible.” She reasoned, deciding to step onto the second floor, and turning to the three doors.

Surprisingly, the handle on the first door she tried turned open. Pushing it open, she gasped.

“No. Way!” She whispered, the room was filled with equipment. On the far side of the room sat two poles with large umbrella light fixtures. The kind they use to take your school photos. Two tables on either end had scattered camera equipment. Liz stepped into the room immediately, closing the door behind her. Much-needed relief aired out her thoughts. The door locked from the inside. She clicked it closed.

With some baseline defense, Liz put the pepper spray on a table and started methodically searching the room. The floor was a staging area. Various-sized poles and electric cords. Some are neatly placed side by side. Others are strewn haphazardly and tangled. They didn’t seem to mean much. Liz stepped over them, walking up to the closet. Opening the doors, she grimaced.

“This sick, sick man…” She said, shaking her head. On the ground were stacks of neatly folded white adult diapers. Hanging up were dozens of adult baby clothing. A black onesie lined with a white stripe. Red and white picnic table pattern overalls. A white polka-dotted black dress with cartoon dinosaurs printed on them. To the right, hanging drawers housed pacifiers, plastic pants, and bonnets. “Neater than the equipment,” Liz noted, closing the closet. Turning around, she placed her hands on her hips. Squinting, she looked around the room.

“Something I can carry....” She thought, scanning up from the floor and around the tables. Her face lit up when she saw it. A Nikon camera. “Please, please, please, please…” She thought, walking up to snatch it. She twisted it around, going with her best guess flicking the switch to the ‘ON’ button.

The screen turned on. Showing the current view through the camera. Liz hadn’t used one of these before. She started randomly pressing buttons, watching the screen magnify through different modes until finally hitting the image playback.

“Ewgh…” Liz uttered in disgust. The first image was a woman she didn’t recognize laying ragdoll on a blanket. Brown hair cut in a bob, completely naked except for a mushy yellow diaper. Liz noticed how gone her eyes looked. They were barely open. Flicking through them it was various positions of her laying on the floor. The scene was brightly lit. After a dozen she was sitting criss-cross on the blanket, playing with a small plastic doll house. A couple later she seemed more engrossed in the toy. She was on all fours, holding dolls inside the rooms. The camera was strategically positioned to frame her diaper in every shot. The next couple was pictures of her diapered ass spread on all four spread out. Then a couple of images of her face. She looked drunk, her eyes bloodshot red. He focused a couple of shots on the drool dripping down her chin.

Suddenly the girl wasn’t on the floor. She was standing in a corner with a mona lisa-like almost smile. Her legs were twisted together, and her hands were behind her back. Liz noticed her diaper wasn’t drooping like before. It was clean.

That was the last picture in her set. The next image was a new woman. This one looked somehow even more gone than the last. Her eyes weren’t even open. She had on a pink onesie. The top of which looked completely soaked. Liz grimace. The woman was laying down, legs out like a dead frog. The inside of her diaper was caked in a brown mess. It was weird because she looked like a college student. The top to the bottom didn’t make sense.

This girl seemed much happier than the one before. Through her pictures, her face was all smiles. She always had a blue pacifier in her mouth. Liz felt nauseous the further she flicked through. Instead of analyzing each one, she started running through them at a rapid pace. Clicking through the pacifier girl, dress girl, naked girl, then…

“Auh…” She uttered, stopping at her face. Her eyes looked directly at the camera. His shaft is half in her mouth. Her expression was seductive.

Liz’s fingers tightened like a claw out of anger. In the next photo she was laughing, arms flared out on the ground. The front of the diaper around her waist was a dark yellow. She recognized the carpet as her bedroom. Lethal fury bloomed in her chest. Churning like the mushroom cloud of an atomic bomb. She clicked through naked poses. Uneasy looks down at her waist. She couldn’t recall any of these moments. It made sense, given she too looked like all the girls before. Sunken eyes, never in focus, stupid smiles. Swiveling the switch, the screen shut off.

Liz could barely contain her rage. The only solace she had was they got what they came for. Holding their ticket to take him down, she had to get out of there as soon as possible. The stakes were too high. It felt like holding gold. Liz slung the camera strap around her shoulder. Grabbing her pepper spray off the table next to the door.

Unlocking the door, she slowly peeked her head out into the hallway. It looked the same as before. Dark, only faint outside light from the windows illuminated the floor. She wasted no time slipping out of the room. Following the steps from before, Liz walked down the hall and started slowly down the staircase. Halfway down, she stopped.

It didn’t register as anything coherent. The best way to describe it was simply a sound. Like a bump in the house. There was a tone associated with it. High enough that it could have been someone. Whatever it was, Liz knew it had to be from him. Feeling his presence the hair on the back of her neck stood up.

She moved faster down the steps. Getting to the base. She heard another. This time she found more meaning through the noise. It sounded like someone’s voice. The pitch was familiar. Her brain chased the thoughts. It echoed again, she could tell it was right beneath the floorboards.

“Julie.” She thought, recognizing it finally. Liz looked at the pepper spray in her hand. “Would it be enough?” She wondered, how would she even get Julie out of here. Chances are she was just as babyfaced as the girls in the camera. The window was merely ten feet away.

She heard talking. It was too muffled to make out the words, but it was enough for a conversation. Liz’s fight-or-flight instinct kicked in. If she was awake enough to talk, then maybe she could be saved.

She followed the sound down the hallway. She heard something again, this time deeper. It was his voice. Still too muffled to make out what the words were, she could tell she was on the right path as it grew louder. The sound of Julie’s voice shout out this time.

“Was that a moan?” Liz thought, although she wasn’t sure. It sounded like it could have been something of pleasure, but just as easily pain. Nervous sweat poured out of Liz’s armpits. Her whole body felt hot from the constant drip of adrenaline. The voices brought her to a kitchen. Inside the room was a door open ajar.

“Go easy on me…” She heard faintly through the door. It was the clearest recognition of Julie’s voice. Liz peaked around the door. It was a short staircase down into the basement. The door at the bottom was half open. Liz knew he had to be in the room, but she held the pepper spray up, ready to release. She started walking down the steps.

“No. You’re not getting off that easy.” She heard him say, Liz expected a fight from Julie, but was shocked to hear,

“How will I help you, Daddy?” Julie said.

“What the hell??” Liz thought. That wasn’t Julie talking. “She must be drugged.” Liz realized, getting to the bottom of the steps. Her heart was racing a million miles a minute. She was almost worried he’d hear that instead of her footsteps. Liz slunk behind the door in the shadows.

“You’re going to fuck with your friends for me. It’s like you’re my secret little agent. You will sabotage them. Secretly. Subtly. You will bring them back to me.” He said to her. Liz could see into the room now. A large screen blocked most of it, but she could make out the two of them standing behind it. The buzzing sound finally clicked. It was a vibrator.

“You will do it, because you want to be Daddy’s good girl.” Liz felt her eyes start to water.

“This is horrific.” She thought, shaking her head at watching her friend actively struggle through it.

“I’m going to fuck my friends over Daddy.” Julie said.

“What!?” Liz thought, taken aback.

“I’m Daddy’s FUCKING diaper slave.” Julie screamed. Liz covered her mouth in shock. She couldn’t hear what he started saying, but it was something.

Liz’s heart stopped.

His figure looked around from the screen. She felt his eyes look directly into her soul.

There was no time to think. She reacted. Liz grabbed the railing, pulling at it to launch herself up. Her feet were able to skip three steps because of it. Her legs pushed as hard as they could race up to the top.

“HEY GET THE FUCK BACK HERE!!” He heard him yell at the base of the steps. Liz didn't feel her body. Through the doorway and into the kitchen, she heard him running up the steps too.

She held the camera in place so it would stop swinging around. If it hit one of the hallway walls it could break it, making this whole endeavor a crushing bust. Getting toward the end of the hallways she could hear him closing in. The window wasn’t open.

“Ooohhh….” Liz thought, her shaking hands grabbing at the sill. They were trembling too much. She couldn’t get a grip at first. A second try she did, pulling it up. He was right behind her. She ducked her head under the window, pushing her torso through it again.

He grabbed her left foot just as she was about to slip out.

She wasn’t expecting it, falling into the ground. On instinct, she pushed herself up, hopping to balance on one leg. She turned toward the window. Lifted the bottle in her hand, and sprayed it.

“OWH FUCK!” He screamed, letting go of her foot. Liz didn’t waste a second. White sneakers ran across the crabgrass. She was inhaling and exhaling harshly through her lungs. Residuals from the pepper had made it into her mouth.

With blurry eyes she hopped the fence, rushing through the street and into the car. The door was locked. She dug into her pocket and hit the unlock button. The car lights came back on. She opened the door, jumped into the driver seat, and shoved the key into the ignition.

The moment it turned over, she threw it in drive. Her foot pushed the pedal directly into the mat. Tires screeching, she raced down the road.

***

Julie grew increasingly aware of the light beaming through her eyelids. Piercing sunlight appeared as a flash as she slowly opened them. Eggshell white ceiling and walls as she looked blurry-eyed around her surroundings.

“Where am I?” Julie wondered, rubbing her eyes. She felt uncertain, but not afraid. For some reason, she already knew this place was safe. Feeling more awake, a strange feeling around her waist demanded attention.

When she placed her hand there, she felt padding. The plastic encasing it crinkled. She sat up, pulling the covers to the side to get a better look. The blank space between her legs was unusual but made sense.

“Why, wet?” She wondered, pressing her legs together to feel the lukewarm mash squish between them. Her hand lightly pawed, then started navigating around the saturated padding to see if it kept its integrity. She felt the bed beneath her butt to see if it was wet too. It wasn’t.

Julie looked puzzled at the diaper. “I’m not…” She thought, but that thought didn’t know where to continue. Instead, she just kept staring. It was a surreal feeling of confusion, yet the answer was already there in her mind. “This is a diaper.” She thought, “I’m wearing a diaper because…” She thought, but that too led to a blank room of thought.

Whatever that meant, it still didn’t feel right. She saw it as a foreign invader. It made her feel stupid. People didn’t wear diapers, she was pretty sure. Part of her wondered what else they would wear, but she couldn’t immediately think of anything. She started frowning at the diaper. This was too weird. She wanted it off.

Her fingers started pinching the tapes. They ripped off the plastic. First the bottom too, then the top. Julie rolled off the bed. Standing up naked, she looked down at the open diaper. The inside was puffed out from all the liquid. It smelled like a combination of lavender and piss.

Julie nervously crossed her legs. Feeling only skin felt naked. Like an important piece of her was gone. She clenched her teeth, arms crossing together. She tried chewing the nail of her thumb. Surprisingly, there wasn’t much nail there. Thankfully, switching to the other thumb there was still some left.

“Where am I? What is happening??” Julie thought it was impossible to hold all the big sinking thoughts together. It felt claustrophobic in this room. Feeling anxious, she started stepping back from the bed. The bottom of her feet felt rug. Stitched together was a jungle scene of a happy-looking Lion and a cute Giraffe. A strange tickle in the top right of her brain liked them. Their joyful appearance made the same emotions reflect in Julie. It threw water on the nervous fire. Julie’s body eased, pointing at the rug.

“Wion.” She said, catching herself off-guard with the clumsy use of her lips. The childish bubble blowing inside her popped, mixing into more confusion. “Wait…” She thought, feeling her lower body tense as more weird thoughts came around. Something was happening. “What do I have to do??” She wondered, just spinning around and looking at the walls. “I don’ know where I am.” She thought, feeling what she thought were drops of water hit her feet. She looked down. Pee pittered out of her, sprinkling her thighs and feet. Julie squirmed, “Emmm…” She moaned, she didn’t understand. “Why it doing that?” She thought. Something felt like she needed to go somewhere to stop this. She didn’t know where that was, so she aimlessly walked to the door. Pulling her thumb out of her mouth, it gripped the knob wet. She twisted it, then pulled it open. The hallway didn’t offer any clarity, just more dizzy disorientation.

“Emm…” Julie moaned uneasily again. She didn’t know where to go. She’d never been here before. It felt scary. The bottom of her eyelids felt watery. A squirt of pee dribbled down her leg. “Ah!” She squeaked, looking down. The main stream that ran down her leg felt warm, while tiny droplets felt cold as they started evaporating.

“What is this stuff??” She thought frantically, it wasn’t stopping. More of it dribbled out of her body and down her leg. Julie felt a sinking dismay powder her emotions. Her legs followed by beginning to crumple.

“Ehh… Ehhehh…” Julie whined, nothing made sense. Where she was, what was happening, where to go. Her naked butt hit the rug, leaning up against a wall. The tears on her eyelids grew too big. One tipped over, streaking down her cheek. “Eehhaaah.” Her mouth stayed open. Julie needed help.

“Eaaah! AAaahh!!” She cried out, calling for anyone. More tears started cascading down her eyes. A black wet patch grew expanded right below her. A thin waterfall of pee flew out of, and directly onto the floor. Julie could feel it soaking in underneath her buttcheeks. She didn’t understand why this feeling kept following her. She didn’t like it. She wanted it to just go away. Funneling that irritation into her eyes, Julie released into a full whale.

“AHHHH!!! E-h-AHhhHH!” She screamed, this time meaning it. She needed help NOW. Snot started running out of her nose.

“Sweetie, Sweetie!” Kim’s voice echoed from down the hall. Her figure appeared, quickly running over to Julie. She knelt next to her. “Oh my goodness, Sweetie. What happened?? Where’s your diaper??” Kim asked, Julie just looked at her. It was soothing seeing a familiar face. Especially someone like Kim who took care of her. She quieted to a whimper, tears still running down her blustery cheeks.

“I duwnno…” She barely breathed out of her lips.

“Aww, you’re a mess. We need to get you back in a diaper. I don’t know how you got out of it. You’re not supposed to fickle with it, Honey. Otherwise, you’re going to get all messy like this. Come on.” She said, grabbing her arms and then pulling her up. Julie let her guide. She felt hope soothe the scary feelings of dismay. Kim led her right back into the bedroom.

“Ohp, there it is. You got out of your nighttime diaper. Why’d you do that silly girl? You’re supposed to wait until I change you into your daytime diaper.” Kim said, guiding her back to the bed. She laid her down perpendicular to the bed, right next to the open diaper. She could smell the pee again.

Julie didn’t know what to say, she felt so small underneath Kim. Her thumb had found its way back into her mouth. She simply shrugged, eliciting a goofy smile.

“You don’t know!” Kim teased, “Of course, you don’t! Don’t do it again, okay?” She asked motherly. Julie nodded up and down, watching as Kim walked toward a closet. She opened it, then pulled out a white rectangle. Unfolding it into a disposable diaper as she walked back to Julie.

“Let’s get you back into a nice dry diaper. No more worries. It’s gonna make it allll better” Kim said, “Wouldn’t you like that? Huh?” Kim asked, tickling Julie’s tummy. It made her squirm in place. She giggled, feeling happy excitement swirl into soothing excitement. She felt deep relaxation lay gently on her shoulders. She didn’t have to worry, Kim was here.

She patted her butt. Instinctually, Julie lifted. Feeling plastic slide underneath. When she plopped back down, she felt the familiar feeling of puffy padding. Kim adjusted the bottom, making sure it lined up correctly. Satisfied, she lifted the center up between her legs. Once again, padding separated her inner thighs.

“You’re looking happier,” Kim said, stretching out the first tape. “Would you like it if you watched some TV while I made you lunch? It’ll make you feel better.” She asked, getting the top two in place. Julie’s eyes lit up immediately. Her brain latched onto that idea like an eagle’s talons. Shooty arrows directed her head to shake up and down vigorously.

“Westh!! Wethhh!” She said, bobbing up and down excitedly. Kim noticed the lisp from Julie’s thumb. She pulled a yellow pacifier off the nightstand, then stuck it in Julie’s mouth. The tapes were finished.

“Here that way you don’t get your hands all gooey. Okay! Go pick out an outfit and then you can watch.” Kim said, smiling as Julie jumped up from the bed. She scuttled to the closet. An array of bright colors blinked like amusement park lights. She wanted to be girly. She picked a white shirt, and pink overalls.

“Dees ones!” She said, waddling back and throwing them on the bed. Kim happily helped Julie put her arms through the shirt holes. Guiding her feet through the bottom of the overalls, then lifting them until they met her diapered crotch. The buttons were too difficult for Julie to attempt. Kim knew that, doing them in the end. She looked too cute in her outfit. Her blonde hair matched the yellow pacifier bobbing in and out. Kim spent a couple of moments adjusting her clothing. Making sure that everything was perfectly aligned. Her diaper peaked out two inches above the overall waistline.

“Alright follow me!” Kim said, motioning to follow as she walked out of the room. Julie followed, her eyes catching a glimpse of teal on the nightstand as she got up. It was her phone. She stood there for a moment.

“My phone.” Julie’s thoughts touched cool metal. She grabbed it, looking at the screen. Dozens of calls and text messages from Liz, emails from work, their weight rushed into her head.

“No, wait. What am I.. doing??” She thought, looking down at the diaper poking out of her overalls. She scoffed. “I’m wearing a diaper again!?”

“Julie!” Kim yelled out, “TV time!” She said,

Julie’s face looked away from the phone. Instead, out the bright window. Church bells rang louder than the important thoughts. It felt good to dump them and give in to the fuzzy. She saw flashes of bright cartoons. Telling her it was alright to do that. She dropped her phone into one of the overall pockets.

“Coming!” She yelled, spinning around and speeding out of the room.

She ran down the hall breathing excitingly in and out. She stopped at the top of the stairs. They looked so long and scary. They were carpeted though, meaning if she fell they’d be okay. Julie grabbed onto the railing, slowly guiding herself down the steps.

The living room and kitchen were connected through an open floor plan. Metal pans clinked together as Kim pulled one out of a drawer. Julie waddled to the couch directly facing the TV screen. Julie felt boring gray through her brain. The TV was playing the news.

“The youth today need to be protected. They can’t make decisions. My daughter just graduated high school a couple of months ago. My wife picks her clothes out every morning now. It’s easier, there’s no hassle in the morning after the morning change. It just works.” The talking head said to an assembled table of other talking heads.

“I’ll change the channel in a minute dear! I’m laying out the nuggets.” She said, ripping open the top of a frozen bag. They spilled out like rocks onto the tray.

“I completely agree. How can they be expected to know what they want to wear when they can’t even keep their pants dry? My son has been back in diapers for about a month now. He loves them. And I love him in them! It didn’t take long for him to completely give up on the toilet. It’s great he can just play all day, and I get my little boy back!” She said Julie was so bored from the bland broadcast that it hurt. She welcomed the sound of Kim walking toward the couch.

*Knock Knock*

“Hm..” Kim muttered, turning toward the front door instead of the couch. She looked through the peephole. “Oh, I think it’s the girl scouts!” She exclaimed, Julie looked over curiously as Kim opened the door.

From front to back stood Liz, Avery, and Morgan.

“Hello, good morning Ma'am. We’re here with the local church. We’re uh, asking for donations.” She stated, coming off rehearsed yet still nervous. Julie felt cooling clarity in her eyes. The tension she felt looking at her phone came back. She stood up from the couch.

“Wait, damnit. What am I… doing here??.” Julie thought, her adult mindset building back into her subconscious. She fed into that feeling. Closing her eyes for a moment, she shook her head. When they opened, she walked behind the couch. The three of them looked at her. Liz made a motion with her head.

“The local Baptist? Prespretaryian? I don’t usually donate to anyone outside of my church. Are you selling anything?” Kim asked.

“Uhm, Baptist? No, we're just looking for donations. That’s.. a good idea though.” Liz said, looking tersely at Morgan. Julie had to act fast. There was a doorway to the outside near the foot of the staircase. She bolted to it.

“Well let me get my checkbook,” Kim said, starting to turn around.

“NO WAIT!” Morgan yelled, Kim, looked flabbergasted. Julie’s hand touched the door handle. “Um…” She uttered, thinking on her feet, “We only accept cash.” She said, flashing a smile to ease the awkward look from Kim.

“Oh, well, I might have a few dollars in my purse.” She said, turning around, this time without interruption. Julie closed the door strategically with the door handle closed, so it wouldn’t make a noise as it closed. It was tough to run with the weight of the diaper between her legs. Running down the wooden steps, she regretted nothing was on her feet. Each stray rock on the ground dug into her. Quickly she rounded the house to the driveway.

“I only have four dollars, but thank you girls! How’s school going for all of you? It looks like you’re all just starting to learn your numbers?” Kim asked, her expression going from jovial to investigative. “Hold on, where are your parents?” She asked, moving to look out the door. Avery grabbed the doorknob.

“Thanks, goodbye!” She yelled, pulling it close. “GO!” Avery yelled.

“Real smooth.” Liz remarked while turning around. They each sprinted away from the door. Kim opened it right as they got off the front porch.

“Hey! HEY! Wait a second!” She yelled, running out of the porch. Julie opened the passenger front door. She slipped in, jumping into the seat. It felt weird. Liz opened the driver's door, jumping in herself. Avery and Morgan opened the back, both running in. The engine started. Kim was feet from the car as it started backing up. She was flailing her arms around. She chased after them as they pulled out of the driveway. It was clear they weren’t stopping. When they reached the road, she pulled out her cell phone and started dialing.

“Fuck I didn’t think she was going to chase after us like that!” Morgan yelled out from the back seat.

“Julie, are you okay??” Avery asked, placing a hand on her shoulder. Julie’s eyes were down in her lap.

“Y-yeah.” She said, although clearly, she seemed distraught.

“What’s wrong?” Avery said Julie felt weird saying it. The embarrassing feelings from this morning resurfaced. Her diaper was wet. She didn’t realize it until she sat down and squished. It wasn’t much, but it was warm enough to be noticeable. It didn’t make sense, it hadn’t even been that long. Her hands wrung in between her legs as she uncomfortably squeezed them together.

“I.. wet my diaper.” She said sheepishly. Intense shame ducked her head down. She didn’t want to look any of them in the eye. The bottom of her eyelids felt watery again.

“You found a diaper?? Where?” Morgan asked intriguingly.

“Kim put me in one.” Julie admitted.

“It’s okay, um, it… happens?” Liz said. That didn’t make her feel better. “All that running, maybe? You can take it off when we stop.” Liz said, but Julie knew that wasn’t going to happen. Her mind physically couldn’t imagine anything else around her waist. It was supposed to be in a diaper. She felt jealous knowing her friends didn’t need them.

“Sure..” She lied. “How did you guys find me?” Julie asked to change the subject. She turned around, “Wait where’s Briana? What happened??” She said frantically, feeling wispy memories from their home invasion.

“Briana is…” Liz started to say.

“...back at the apartment.” Avery finished, they spoke with clear unease.

“She’s fucked, Julie.” Morgan blurted out, “Whatever he did to her, it’s changed her.” Morgan said, Julie looked back in disbelief. “Yeah, she’s barely even verbal. We’ve been using towels to keep her from making a mess.” She said,

“Jesus…” Julie said, “I can’t believe it.”

“It’s sad,” Liz admitted. “But, there is some good news.”

“Oh, yeah! Liz tell her!” Morgan exclaimed.

“We have damning evidence of what he’s doing. The night you guys went into the house, I went in after you missed the comeback time. I found a DSLR camera with a bunch of different photos on it of all these girls. I even found myself as crazy as it is.” Liz explained, Julie finally smiled.

“Oh, my god!! Liz!! You did it!!!” She exclaimed, clapping once out of joy. “That’s PERFECT! That makes all of this craziness worth it!!”

“That’s part of how I found you all. I managed to escape once I got it. I staked out his house the next day. He put you all in a car and brought you to different homes across town. They were all close to where you live. It was strange, all he had to do was talk to them then they took you.” Liz said.

“Huh.” Julie said, not sure where to push the investigation in her mind. “Well, it’s okay. We found the camera. Liz, you're amazing!” Julie said joyfully.

“We’re getting out of here.” Avery said, “With this evidence, we’re thinking we get out of town away from his influence. Bring this to a real police department…” Avery trailed off.

Blinking red and blue lights flashed in the rearview mirror. Liz gripped the steering wheel, letting off on the gas.

“Were you speeding?” Avery asked.

“No, I was going the speed limit.” Liz responded. Their car slowed, pulling over to the side, then came to a stop. The lights pierced through the back of the car. Everyone’s face was illuminated blue and red.

“Just, be calm. We didn’t do anything wrong.” Morgan said.

“It must have been her.” Julie muttered. No one responded. The sound of the door clunked close. A state trooper walked up to the car. His uniform was perfect. He tapped on the front window. Liz rolled it down.

“Hello Officer, wha-” Liz said, he cut her off.

“Is this your vehicle?” He asked directly.

“Um, it’s my friend's car.” She responded, rolling her knuckles on the steering wheel in anxiety. He looked in, staring intensely at Julie for a couple of seconds. He leaned back, pressing the button on his radio.

“Code 8, Camac street.” He said.

Julie had a gut feeling about what that meant, the memory of Kim dialing her phone still fresh. They were coming. She looked down at the cupholder. Liz’s half-used pepper spray sat in it. She felt a deep impulse in the back of her mind. It doubled, then quadrupled. She felt Daddy’s voice to sabatoge.

“Ma’am I’m going to need you to turn your car off and step out of the- AWH!” He yelled hot spray ejected into his eyes.

“JULIE WHAT THE FUCK!?” Liz screamed.

“DRIVE!!!” Morgan screamed from the back, Liz didn’t have time to think. She saw the trooper pull the gun out of his holster. Yet again, the pedal hit the bottom of the mat. Tires screeched off the asphalt. Aimlessly a stray bullet punched through the license plate.

“Julie why the FUCK did you do that!?” Liz yelled, keeping her eyes on the road as they raced down it.

“I-i.. eh.. He was going t-to arrest us! A-and probably do baby stuff to us!” She lied, thinking of it on the spot to cover up the mistake. The dark impulse subsided. Julie knew it was disgraceful, but it felt good to please it.

“What are you even talking about!?” Liz said

“This, whole fricken town is messed up! Have you not noticed that every adult is looking at us like we’re children?? The news at Kim’s house was talking about diapering highschoolers!! What did I do? What the fuck is that!?” Julie yelled, trying to defend herself.

“Yeah, but you don’t attack a police officer!” She argued.

“Way too far, Julie.” Avery said, “But… she might have a point, Liz.” Avery said, “I don’t trust the cops or anyone here one second. Mr. Kearson, the person Morgan and I were with, was out getting diapers when Liz showed up. Going on and on about how shocked he was we were ‘that well potty trained.’ It’s not just us, people are changing. He might have taken us to baby jail.” Avery said, holding onto the seat in front of her as they twisted and swerved through the street.

“Baby jail?” Liz said, “We just ASSAULTED a police officer. Every cop in the county is going to be looking for us. Do any of you realize how deep we’re in it now??” She yelled. Julie felt crushing regret she so easily gave into his commands.

“I’m sorry guys… I just did it…” She said, trying to atone. No one said anything.

“We need to get off the road ASAP. My apartment is close. We get there, ditch the car, grab some bags, and try to get out of there on foot. Does anyone have any better ideas??” She said the weight of their decision started setting in.

“I guess not.” Morgan said. Liz drove 80 mph down residential roads. Carving up the street until they reached her apartment. She pulled into the driveway, and into the garage. Each of them immediately got out of the car. Slamming doors then immediately running into the house.

“Kacy!?” Liz yelled out. “Kacy we need to talk!” She yelled, walking through their front door which led into their kitchen. She walked through the room, stopping in her tracks at the sight in front of her.

“Heeeyyy! You’re back!” Kacy mused in a cute childish tone, ripping the nipple of an enlarged baby bottle out of her mouth. She and Briana were curled up together on the floor. Both of them are naked except for disposable diapers around their waist. Cartoon dinosaurs were printed on them. From the looks of it, they needed a change.

“Hewyyy wawee wee!” Briana gurgled, sitting up excitingly on her knees. Her excitement was too much to contain. She bounced up and down on her legs. Each time she pushed off her knees, another dribble of pee bounced out of her.

“W-where did you get all this? Why are you watching the TV!? I told you not to!” Liz said, shielding her eyes as she walked up to the outlet. She ripped the cord from the wall.

“HEY!” The two of them yelled out.

“Kacy, we need to leave, NOW. We, Julie, just attacked a cop.” She said, motioning to the group that walked in behind her. Kacy started giggling.

“Well, why did you do that??” She said, giggling as she got up from the ground.

“I don’t know. Ask her.” She said, pointing at Julie. She looked down at her feet. Liz started walking toward the bedrooms. Kacy followed behind her. “What are you doing, Kacy?? Don't you have class all day. Did you seriously blow it off to act like a baby with Briana??” She said, walking into her room. She grabbed her backpack leaning up on the side of the wall. Dumping out its contents onto her bed. “Do you recognize how ridiculous that sounds!? You’re a grad student. Gosh put on a shirt will you?” Liz said, she threw a T-shirt out of her closet. Kacy side-stepped away from it.

“Why are you acting like such a big kid?” She responded with sass.

“What!? Because I, WE, are big kids!” Liz said, shooting back a confused dirty look. She started shoveling clothes from her closet into the backpack.

“Dr. Allen said we didn’t have to take the test today. We could go home and wear diapies if we wanted to instead.” She said, “Alotta dem were wearing diapers already. I was the weird one for still wearin’ big girl clodes. So maybe thinks about that.” Kacy said, she felt frustrated with Liz questioning her lifestyle choice. Anger easily brimmed to the surface of her face. As if to make a point, she started peeing in her already drooping diaper.

“He told you to go home and wear diapi- diapers?” Liz asked seriously.

“Yeah! I wen to da store afta an’ they had sooo many new things there. I got every thin’ I wannaed.” She said, Liz could barely take her seriously with her lisp, full diaper, and pigtails.

“Whatever Kacy. I can’t do this right now. I need to think. Gosh, why am I the one who has to babysit all of you!?” She asked herself exasperated. She opened a shoebox sitting on the floor of her closet. Inside it was the camera. It went into the backpack.

In the living room, Julie knelt next to Briana.

“Briana?” She asked, looking for any sign of intelligence. Briana just looked at her, falling back down on her crinkly butt.

“Aehgh..” She muttered, shoving the side of her hand into her mouth. She half sucked, half chewed on it. Julie knelt closer to her.

“Briana, I know you’re in there, how many fingers am I holding up?” She asked, flashing four. Briana was enamored by the sudden shapes in front of her. Faint neurons buzzed, knowing they meant something. Her pupils appeared to focus on the demonstration in front of her. She felt attention tighten the muscles at the top of her brain. She dropped her head forward, trying to get a closer look. Something was happening. The tightening relaxed, spilling down in her head back into potent gassy dopamine.

Morgan couldn’t stop staring at Briana’s diaper. Especially once she realized she was pissing herself. She bit the bottom of her lip. She squeezed her legs together, imagining the presence of a dense, warm mass between them. Her nails started itching her arms.

“I don’t think she’s in there, Julie.” Avery said, “We’ve tried talking to her multiple times. All we’ve gotten out of her are grunts. Whatever he did to her, it was permanent.” She said, Julie felt emotional. They had only known each other for a few days, but this hurt. She was right next to her when it happened. She could recall faint images of him plunging the needle into her arm.

“Are you guys ready? We need to think of a plan.” Liz said, walking back into the room. She had a full backpack on.

“I don’t have much, I wouldn’t mind some shoes,” Julie said, wiggling her toes. “I’m size 7.”

“I’m size 8, maybe they’ll be a little big? There’s some by the back door.” Liz said, pointing to it. Julie walked over to start trying them on.

“Who dat?” Kacy said, pointing out the window. Multiple police cars were parked out on the street. A group of men in SWAT uniforms was running up their walkway, holding a battering ram.

“COME ON!” Liz screamed, grabbing Kacy’s shoulder. She pulled her toward the back door.

“What is…!?” Julie said, looking up with only one shoe on. “Ahh!” She screamed, randomly grabbing another one. She opened the door for Kacy and Liz.

*BANG BANG*

“OPEN THE DOOR THIS IS THE POLICE” Yelled out from the external front door.

“Leave her, come on let’s go!” Liz yelled to Morgan and Avery standing next to Briana. Liz, Kacy, and Julie slipped through the back door. Avery took one step forward, but Morgan held her arm out.

“Wait.” She said, turning to her.

“What are you doing!? Go!!” She said, trying to push past her. But Morgan held her in place.

“This is our chance, Avery.” She said, a greedy look on her face.

“What are you talking about!?” She asked desperately.

“We can be Baby.” She said. Avery didn’t know what to say. Her immediate response to escape was subdued by an intense urge to go along with it. The option was staring her right in the face. She could escape, and stay an adult if she wanted. But Morgan was right. If she wanted to throw that all away for a life of diapers…

“No.” Avery said, pushing past her. “Morgan come on!” She said. Morgan grabbed her hand. Pulling her back in. She pressed in between Avery’s leggings.  Diapers wrapped around each rational thought in Avery’s mind. She didn’t have to try. Nobody would know, or expect anything different out of her. It felt so naughty.

“Think of all the Baby time we’ll finally have. Our pissy messy diapers.” She said, Morgan, spread her legs apart. She started pissing. Dark stains formed in her jeans, and streaks started running down. Strong babyish desire dominated her concious. It was all irrational, and clearly sexually charged, but that’s what made it so good. “It’s what a baby would do…” She thought.

“M-morgan it’s our life…” She weakly defended, hearing another bang. Wood chips flew out of a hole forming in the door.

“Do it. If we play dumb, they’ll think we’re just like Briana. They won’t send us to jail. You know how fucked up this town is now. We’re probably going to end up like her anyways.” She said, dropping onto the floor. Sticking a thumb in her mouth. “Just start fake crying with me.” Morgan said. The choice was right there in front of her. The neural addiction in her brain overwhelmed her adult thoughts. She could push it out if she tried.

Delicious baby greed hijacked her rational thought one last time. She saw the wet spot on Morgan, then the mush of Briana’s diaper. She suddenly wanted it desperately. Sloppy gross mess wrapped tight around her body. All there by accident.

Her butt hit the floor too the moment the door smashed open. Piss drenched the front of her jeans. She went further, pushing the mess out into her jeans. “That way they’ll really know I need diapers…” She thought, stamping out the last of her adult thoughts. The door smashed open.

“THREE INFANTS IN HERE, KEEP MOVING!” The first wave yelled out. They ran past them. Morgan’s body flushed with pleasure, seeing in real time her plan had worked. They were going back into diapers. With the coast clear, a sergeant and his men walked in. They looked down at the thumbsuckers.

“These poor children.” The sergeant said. “Round 'em up, we’ll take care of them.”
