This season has a lot of parallels to the “War on Terror” The creators made their own show about the Iraq war, being critical about how problematic it was victimizing so many people with next to no justification and no real change being made This episode Bubbles describes the West side as being like Afghanistan, so many resources are just wasted on catching dealers and not solving any problems while Marlo stepped up to fill the void left by Avon (getting Avon didn’t change anything) There are a lot more parallels fans have pointed out, curious if anyone else has spotted any
