Shivering King Banana

Go ahead and skip the intro most of us are syncing to the dialogue anyways :D

Syncing is by far the most annoying thing about watching reaction videos, DO NOT SKIP THE INTRO! It is so much easier to sync right from the start and gives you free time to fix your sync. If your attention span is so short you cant watch a 30 second intro just go watch the cut/edited versions.

i'm just a little sad the hxh characters aren't getting the respect they deserve but i'm happy they think of aot at least lmao

2023-07-21 13:48:03 1. Hi. I just wanted to write sorry, because in a previous debate where people were discussing One Piece, I gave really good arguments on the problems with One Piece as a show and on reacting to it, and maybe you read it. So I wanted to write here, that in reality it is a great show with one of the greatest storytelling and world-building in history, it still have A LOT of problems, that are especially apparent in later chapters of manga and episodes of anime. The biggest problem being animation dragging out(it is almost impossible to watch the show in late episodes, because every time show would catch to manga, episodes would get dragged out. And it would be even harder to react, because how little would be in one episode, but that is in 500s-600s episodes. First couple of hundreds are REALLY good). That being said, One Piece is a pretty good show, and in the future you can react to Netflix live-action(if it is good and your viewers would recommend it. Being live-action, I hope it would also be forced to fix a lot of the One Piece problems, like late chapters/episodes extreme goofiness). So, while I don`t "recommend" to react to it fully, I don`t see anything against it either(considering first hundreds of episodes are one of the best quality storytelling, so it would be fine to a. React to one piece first hundreds of episodes of the anime in the near future, and/or b. React after they would remake it, like they did with Fullmetal Alchemist>Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood(or even react to first hundreds of episodes in near future and then continue watching the remake), or C. React to Netflix show). I wrote it, because I wouldn`t want to be the reason why you might in the future, miss out on show with the best storytelling and world-building in history. 2. I WOULD however, strongly recommend you to react to "Saiki Kusuo"(whenever you want, even now). It is a hilarious comedy anime, especially good for reacting, because it is insanely dense and relatively short. So A. All Saiki Kusuo seasons together would be around 50 episodes, 20 minutes each(shorter than FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood). B. It is insanely dense. 1 20min episodes have more story than 3-4 20 minute episodes of other shows(because 1 20 minutes episode have 3-4 mini 5-7 minutes episodes, so watching it 20 minutes feels like watching 1 hour movie). C. I personally think, it is the most hilarious thing in existence. There is no comedies that I ever saw, that came to being that level of funny. Being the best comedy that I ever saw, and being a show that works especially well on reaction channels. I can`t recommend it enough.

Bro, you promoted One Piece like you're Oda himself lol. Not a OP fan but I admire the passion. Great write up!

2023-08-06 19:48:25 Mr Globalist. In one previous debate, unlike others that were writing very simple stuff, I wrote a giant comment against "One Piece", explaining in details every bad thing about it. But now that Netflix made Live Action, I realized that if they have read that comment, they are not gonna react to it, because every argument against One Piece that I gave was solid(Arguments>it promotes bad values, it drags/too slow, it`s goofy, have a lot of annoying characters that promote bad behavior. But now I write, that each of this is starting to appear in later chapters/episodes, at first/East Blue Saga, it`s just the show with best world-building and storytelling in history, which continues being so for all pre-"timeskip", despite bad things slowly appearing in the show), but One Piece is gonna gain traction and new popularity because of Netflix, so they might get left behind(also live action might be forced to cut down a lot of the bad staff, like "Namis" abusiveness, and might, as episodes go, with each episode be forced to tone down Sanjis "horny behavior", because that stuff is more noticeable at live action than in anime, and if they don`t tone it down, the show is not gonna be good). I was against them watching One Piece earlier, now I realize that it would be fine if they would watch it in the future under certain circumstances, so what I wrote here is sort of a "sorry", as well as guideline how to watch it, just in case, if they would decide to watch it someday. And I am not gonna promote it anymore. As I am neutral to it(and I like Hunter X Hunter much more than One Piece, as it is perfect from start to finish/when Gon met his dad>Which made story reach it`s natural conclusion). What I usually promote on this channel is "Saiki K", because it is perfect for reaction channel, especially reaction channel that doesn`t watch multiple episodes at once and watches one episode per few days(as Saiki K have multiple mini episodes in one big episode, and is the best comedy in existence and nothing else beside maybe "Gintama", comes close to how funny it is. But Saiki K is in my opinion levels above Gintama). PS. The thing that I wrote is the inverse of "It's so good you just need to watch 600+ episodes", what I wrote is "it`s good at first couple hundred episodes, than it starts to suck, than at 600 episodes+ it sucks a lot and is unwatchable(and also almost unreadable, because at first chapters it`s simple, a lot of pictures and simple text, but at later chapters it`s a lot of text on a small frame with pictures, so it`s like a very confusing book, rather than comics). So if you react to it, wait till they would make a remake, or react to live action, or react first couple hundred episodes and then continue after they would make a remake".

Also, for anyone out there reading it and actually being happy that this comment recommends them to react to One Piece. The point "One Piece promotes bad values", which is, for me, the biggest problem with it, still stands. I have collectivist soul(which became more and more collectivist as I grew older), and for me, any show that promotes individual things is bad, that`s why I can`t watch anything western(anything from Hollywood looks evil to me) and can watch only Japanese animation or movies, from shows like Hunter X Hunter, Naruto, to Isekai`s like Overlord or Reincarnated As A Slime, or comedies like Saiki Kusuo, to movies like Seven Samurai or 60s Zatoichi. One Piece is one of the 2-3 shows among thousands, in whole Japan that have a lot of "Individual" in it, which makes it very hard for me to watch or enjoy this days(it was much easier when I was younger). But One Piece have the best "Writing" and best "World-building" in human history, there is nothing as masterfully written as One Piece, except maybe Hunter X Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho(and even they don`t come nowhere near close to One Piece in world-building. Althought in certain places, like future Chimera Arc(don`t look it up, it`s spoilers) in Hunter X Hunter and "Tournament Arc" in Yu Yu Hakusho exceeds writing of One Piece, and both Hunter X Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho are written by Togashi). The point is, I myself can`t enjoy One Piece much this days(I still can enjoy it a little bit), but because LM Reactions have some western shows like Avatar, or Cyberpunk, they might actually enjoy One Piece, which have better writing and world-building than both. PS. The only thing that have both better writing and world-building than One Piece would be old Chinese book "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and old Chinese book "Water Margin', which also have collectivist soul and beautiful morals. But it`s a really long books. (Romance of The Three Kingdoms inspired the whole existence and trajectory of Chinese civilization since it`s existence, and Sengoku Jidai period in Japan/warlords fight for dominion over Japan).

I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for you though. or sorry that happened.

Dude I'm a big OP fan but you gotta just accept the fact that most people aren't gonna want to make that time investment and thats okay.

Grant, I know. I just wrote the bad stuff about One Piece and got on the side of "not watching it", in one of the previous posts where people were debating it. So I decided to make it fair by pointing the good stuff in this post.
