JATLA

My boy Kurapika really isn’t afraid of anything😂

LMreactions

well knowing what we found out in the next episode, what does he have to worry about

JATLA

Oh you’ve already seen it😅 you’re right, he has nothing to worry about haha

Nathan Elkin

I ran out of chocolate chip cookies

Isaac

Idk, Lola had a pretty good theory on that the other day

Nathan Elkin

I suppose I’ll ask it again, because you graced me with a full answer before. Out of the four main boys, who do you now think has the most potential with Nen?

Julius

I shouldn’t have watched this 😖 I can’t wait until the next one.

Julius

Y’all should stop looking at the thumbnail and title of the future episode, you’ll start spoiling yourselves.

Anonymous

You guys picked a great time to watch multiple eps in one sitting.

Kya Colosseum

Question for manga readers so SPOILERS for what I'm about to type. SPOILERS: Do people here think L&M should be told about the full extent of Kurapika's power next episode? As I genuinely think without knowing the full picture it massively throws off the power scaling for the rest of the show, whilst not spoiling any actual storylines or character developments.

notkorra

STOP I CANNOT MENTALLY WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE

JayPierlis

Kurapika really pre packed a shovel....

Isaac

I say it depends on how confused they are. Nothing wrong with a spoiler-free effort-post about the chains and ET though.

Kya Colosseum

ET is my main concern, think they should know about the full cost of that power.

Isaac

Should be fine as long as it's accurate. People mess up explaining ET sometimes lol

Harfie

Where’s my $30 tier so I can get the next episode immediately?!

Cinya

No. Let people come to their own conclusions and speculated untainted by external information. The only thing you could mention is stuff omitted from the chapter the episode adapted. Spoilers**

Harfie

Can someone tell me what ET is so I can go spoil myself?

Devin Crabtree

Kurapika's response at the end is ice cold, he's such a Chad

Rare

SPOILER Yeah, it's a little tricky. Since the effects of ET are sorta implied later, but...I mean it's already super hard judging power scaling in this show. There are obvious differences between some people, but others are razor thin margins that fluctuate back and forth constantly. Even with ET and it's cost, there's no guarantee of a win. You technically don't even need nen to win out in a conflict.

I think it's important for your discussion of the show and characters to know that after the anime ends, the story continues in the manga. Just a FYI in case you weren't aware.

A

You're really considering explaining details about his Nen ability that only get explained explicitly and in depth in the manga? Really? Really? If people who watched the series when it came out can deal with not knowing the details, then they can too. At the very least, if you leave such a comment, give a warning that you're going to include details from future manga chapters so that the members on here can choose to avoid it. If I hadn't already read the part of the manga where it explains it, I'd be pissed if I read your comment.

HgPt

You missed a funny moment in minute 13:20

Shivering King Banana

Emperor Time gets explained well enough in the show I'd say leave it be. They're smart enough they might realize that a great Nen power must have a great cost based on the explanation of the chains.

HgPt

that's not important for the discussion of the show and they are really far from ending the anime

HgPt

No, I'm reading the manga but you should just assume it doesn't exist and let them enjoy the anime. It's really pointless to spoil stuff from the manga or to tell them that there is smth more because they are not going to read that and in my opinion anime is enough, they don't need further explanations. @Isaac you told them to not read about Kurapika's past that is chapter 00 and has 0 spoilers and you don't see anything wrong in spoiling things that in the manga are explained later

Anonymous

Nah I disagree, and the reasons should be obvious. Just knowing that the story doesn't end with the anime would do them a good service when analysing the character arcs/story arcs. At the very least would be not thinking that certain story/character arcs having to end before the last episode. Just sets them up for faulty predictions/expectations needlessly.

HgPt

I don't see how they can benefit from knowing that, they don't need it to analyse arcs or characters, they might need it to make more right predictions but that is not the aim of their reactions, their faulty predictions are interesting and funny but not important, emotions are important and knowing that the story continues in the manga not only is pointless in my opinion but also harmful.

Anonymous

Well I gave you a reason why they would benefit. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

HgPt

Telling them that they don't have to think that certain story/character arcs have an end to me is not beneficial (who would like to watch smth knowing that they won't see how it ends) and debatable. You gave me a reason why would be important not beneficial, spoilers affect their discussions ofc, but not in a positive way because as I said they don't need to make right predictions, if the aim was that one would have made more sense to be more explicit

HgPt

No, you would spoiler things that are showed later in this arc and you would spoiler things that are explained later in the manga, you can mention stuff from the manga but just if they have already passed that point in the anime

Edgar

I dont think thats important at all . You treat anime like its own thing and you react and comment within the context of anime .What happends after anime ends does not matter , since its not in anime

Anonymous

Guys, knowing that the manga continues the story is an extremely simple fact, which I reckon most HxH viewers are aware of. It's certainly not a spoiler. Watching them discussing the show I thought it be more fruitful knowing this simple fact. That's all.

Theria

They knew the manga was still ongoing when they first started, they mentioned it before episode 1. I think they may have forgotten, though.

Antonio

Honestly this one was vague enough but whenever anyone says anything about future events to someone that is currently watching a long form show they're usually not being slick as they think they are and end up heavily biasing future knowledge of how certain character arcs may play out with the rest of the show. It's usually just the context of posting something about the manga whenever discussions about a certain topic are had. (People constantly wink wink nudge nudging every time they talk about Kurapika's story and then talk about the manga after the show, it'll get tiring and will eventually point them to one conclusion effectively spoiling what happens for this character between the entire show and where the manga picks up.)

Anonymous

@Auxiline I just watched the first episode video and you're right, they know. Well there you go, no harm done. I guess if people insist I can still delete it.

Edgar

No. I think anime gives enough context to understand how NEN fights go . If it was that important anime would have probably included

Kya Colosseum

A I literally put "question for manga readers" at the front of my comment calm down hahah. Okie dokie if people don't want them to know I'll leave it be

Shivering King Banana

This show ends perfectly without knowing it goes on in the manga. Why'd you delete your comment with all the replies then make a new one saying the same thing?

lumine

kurapika really brought ghosting since back in 1999 huh

Anonymous

I say explain it if they won't read the manga. What's the harm?

Anonymous

where did you get the t shirts from?

Anto

No, they aren't dumb, they'll figure it out.
