Crazy idea… what if I watched something I didn’t subscribe for?

cosmotron

Really been looking forward to this one, even though it hurts. Can’t wait to hear your discussion once it’s edited! Time to watch and cry again.

Mingo

Wish Vinland was earlier but can’t wait for that reaction

Thanks for the update <3

Really looking forward to this discussion. I can't watch this just yet but I wanted to highlight how well you understood Riley's character to know how he was going to behave in this episode and how you predicted his fate down to a T in the last discussion. I'm impressed, but not surprised, since this is one of the reasons I enjoy your content so much

well, as always, perfect timing, just got home from work and i'm about to cook something fast. will the edit be up later today or tomorrow? no rush, juwt asking because i don't work the lunch shift tomorrow and i could wait a few hours since i'm not sleepy at all today. either way, as everyone has mentioned, i was waiting for this one too. such a great and emotional episode.

space1999

For sure! They’ve been absolutely on top of the direction of the story and characters. Really enjoy their insight

cosmotron

Haven’t started watching yet but I just had to say that Riley’s “I did my best” is always what breaks me, even more than him telling Erin that he loves her.

space1999

Am excited to watch! This episode is honestly the highlight of the entire show for me. The discussion between Riley and Father Pruitt and the parallels with addiction and justification of ingrained “uncontrollable” behavior… so good… Amazing ending

Dante

I will never forget the first time I watched this episode. I was absolutely fucked up for like a week after the ending. I just sat and stared at my screen for so long after it ended. I don't think Mike Flanagan could have executed it any better than he did. Still one of the most emotionally affecting things I've seen on TV.

space1999

Fr, Riley being able to smile and find forgiveness is everything. Discussion is gonna be great

Is there an ETA for the QnA video being posted? Or were our questions too intimidating that it scared you off? 🤔😅

well, another rewatch of this episode i cried my eyes out to. no matter how many times i rewatch or watch reactions to it the last scene always make me cry. and yes, hamish (pruitt) is such an amazing actor. in an ideal world that scene when he gets angry and yells all that about being completely honest would have been the clip they showed when he got the emmy nomination or the golden globe... but he was robbed of even a fucking nomination. i actually love millie, sarah's mom. she's a great character and it always makes me laugh how poorly she hide's the fact that she dislikes bev. by the way, now it would not be a spoiler because you can clearly see the actress is younger, but you've actually seen millie's actress in bly manor as flora and mile's mom. she was also in doctor sleep, a mike flanagan's movie, but i don't know if you've seen it... well, milena probably hasn't since it's a horror. but if you haven't i engourage you to watch it, it's a sequel of the shining and it's a great movie. can't believe we're so close to the end. just out of curiosity, you find similarities with hill house and bly manor? for me it's really easy to see similar themes or just mike flanagan's touch.

HenryM

I know what you mean about Flanagan's touch, he has a very distinct style, really excited to see what he does with the Dark Tower series

cosmotron

I didn’t appreciate Millie as a character as much my first time through, but watching again…woof. All the emotions.

cosmotron

Those credits with Erin just screaming and screaming…utterly horrific. That actress is amazing: I think it’s really difficult to not make screaming like that come off as cheap or fake. Or at least, that’s sometimes my experience when watching tv or movies. But this screaming is just…so chilling.

it's so tragic and poetic and beautiful how his death happens. Just like his dream. He had the same dream over and over, stranded on a boat in the middle of the ocean by himself, and the dream ends when the sun comes up. The last time he had the dream he wasn't alone, Erin was with him but it still ended with the sun coming up. Incredible foreshadowing of his death and exactly how he dies, but you don't even realize it until it's about to happen.

Invincible will return with its second season at the end of the year. You don't have to start reactions at the same time as the release, so you don't have to wait weekly for more episodes, but so you know to make room for it in late 2023/early 2024. It will probably have 8 episodes again, but maybe 8 to 12.

Appreciate you both❤️
