the vibes of this episode are honestly unmatched by the rest of the show. the sheer body count showing how far whiterose and the dark army have been driven. the unorthodox music choices. the buildup and culmination in Elliot and white roses' scene. I'll comment more but I genuinely think it's wholly unique

I really love how this version of Tyrell doesn't care about his appearance and dresses casually bc it's both a very good look for him and ties into one of his last conversations with Elliot Getting into the discussion now but I'll just say: in classic Mr Robot fashion, nothing makes sense until it does.

'May you live in interesting times' is an old English phrase that is sort of seen as a joke / curse, because 'interesting' doesn't necessarily mean 'good' - wars, famine, pandemics can all be 'interesting' / 'not boring'. In the same way, "it's an exciting time in the world" has a double meaning, because many terrible things can be 'exciting' - like the global socio-economic collapse depicted in the show. The desire to live in an 'exciting world' can backfire spectacularly.

Great reaction. The Whiterose / Elliot conversation is so good, and represent two ways you can deal with and process trauma. The scene after with Elliot and Mr Robot is so good too, you can see how devastated Mr Robot is and them both coming to terms with it, with Elliot repeating back that classic episode 1 line. Lots of great music cues this episode too, really feels like the beginning of the end. I appreciate the desire to want to sit through 11, 12 and 13 in one sitting but it would have been soooo much lmao, it may have legitimately broken your brains Excited for what comes next. And a new show poll!

Since this series is ending soon... Was just gonna try and shill Mad Men for y'all. You have both Mr Robot ending soon and TLOU already ended. So that's two possible slots for a live action. Leaving options open? Or maybe you could add it to the poll with Black Sails etc that Mr Robot won on, and have the top two winners go into a slot (in which case I don't think Mad Men will even win as I've only seen a couple other people mention it, as opposed to Mr Robot having a lot more people when I initially mentioned it on a comment ages ago) Either way, I think it's right up your guys' ally in terms of storytelling and characters. Very different plot-wise and somewhat unique for the channel, but if enough people suggest it maybe we can put it on a poll, and then eventually it might make it to a reaction :)

Great episode and reaction! I love how confused you guys are, and Lola's reaction to Angela didn't disappoint. I've been leaving lengthy comments on Angela's characterization under these reactions since S1 (granted, many of them were ROT-13 because they were spoilery so you probably couldn't read them) so I'm probably a contender for being leader of the Angela fanclub too. Though in total she probably is only my third favorite. Because of how complex and layered Elliot is, I can't put her above him, and well I always loved Darlene but after the final episode she became my favorite which I didn't see coming.

there absolutely is a problem with people trying to lead them right to the answer, or trying to be clever and misdirect...it's really quite simple, I get the urge to reassure but it's pretty dang easy not to comment on those types of things. just comment on what's in the review, if something might ACTUALLY be important for them to know, share, but otherwise just don't fuckin say anything that would lead them to think a certain way if possible

@Myeh - Ah get over it, that's part of the parcel of having open discussions / open forums. You can't expect everyone to watch the show how you desire them to, besides, it's not as if their viewing experience has been ruined either - I think Lola has cried for example at least once in every episode of Season 4 almost so obviously their viewing experience hasn't been altered in anyway. They also picked up on the sexual abuse storyline way back in Season 1 or Season 2, before it was even mentioned in the comments - so you can keep trying to assume that the public comments lead them into discussions of one way or another but all you're doing is taking away the credibility that these two ladies have made some very good analysis / predictions throughout the show. I think you're doing them more a disservice by trying to imply their experiences are shaped on commentary. Also, keep in mind this is just a business - we're the ones here to relive our show experiences / this is part of the trade. They provide the goods, we get our rewatch content in - they make a decent chunk of change - everyone's happy.

Dusty bro, the first time you interacted with me you accused me of spoiling and then proceeded to respond to my ROT13ed comments without ROT13. I'm not implying that their experiences are wholly shaped by people trying to lead them to certain conclusions– you've even done that yourself by trying to explicitly draw them away from that by trying to get them to focus on the mother plot line instead of the father. It didn't work because as you say, they're quite smart and intuitive on their own, so idk what you're getting at
