Hope El Camino is soon lol

someone else get goosebumps with the ending song?

Danny

yup, this is breaking bad. shit happens and it usually aint the happy kind. lol the end of this episode was great. u can see walter so defeated after the phone call with his son but then after the gretchen and elliot interview, you can see the lingering heisenberg coming out, almost like saying "theres unfinished business we need to take care of"

So close 😭

You know it's serious when your native language comes out.

People do not give this episode enough credit. After Ozymandias we needed to sit with the fallout. Last episode it seemed impossible that you could ever feel sympathy for Walt or be on his side. Brilliant.

Melkor

Not to defend Walter or anything but from the beginning of the show when we saw Walters conversations with Gretchen and Elliot it seems like he contributed a LOT more than just his name to their company. But it’s still very understandable that they want to distance themselves from him but I can understand Walters anger just a little bit. But ofc I can’t know how much he contributed but by all of his interactions with them it seems like definitely more than just his name.

BobJ

That last shot where they finally use the theme song is so incredible. Enjoy the finale - it is incredible. My favorite series finale of all time.

Griff

I cant watch this right now, but im just gonna go a head and give it a like cause I know its gonna be great.

BNJ

Walter is such a complicated character, I both loved and hated him during the run of this series, and sometimes my feelings would change from one episode to the next. He's not a good person, maybe he was at first but it's pretty obvious as the series went on he went from hero to anti-hero to villain, he's such a fascinating character to watch. I can't think of a character that I've watched that has elicited so many contrasting emotions.

Anyone else get ASMR vibes during Skyler's encounter with Todd? Horrific of course, but strangely soothing...

Anonymous

It's funny, no matter how many horrible things Walt's done... And how much he deserves what he's got... When you realize at the very end of the episode he just got the kick in the ass that he needed, and that theme music comes on and you see the look on his face... there is no way not to want him to go be Heisenberg one last time.

Thanks again for your reaction. Always had a blast watching BB along with you!

Walt really did take everything from Jesse.

Daniel Chavez

I love this episode so much!! I feel like it gets kinda forgotten how great it is just because it's in between Ozymandias and the final episode. Great reaction!!! RIP Andrea 😭

Anonymous

I always thought that the Andrea thing was too far too. Being tortured and forced to live in a cage and be a meth slave is already like the most brutal thing to happen to anyone in the show, then on top of that he had to watch them murder someone he loves. Like, holy shit. It's pretty hilarious thinking back to when you guys talked about Jesse hitting rock bottom in like season 2 hahah.

EhrenJaeger96

Hey Guys, im here since you watch attack on titan and i dont know if you already know what you´ll watching after Breaking Bad but i have a recommedation. Bates Motel :D

Some details you might have missed and something you might enjoy and should look into is how Vince Gilligan uses colors in his storytelling in BB and how Walter gains the characteristics of the people he kills. Also: Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have done a few sketches together you might like. (You can find them on youtube, e.g. "Barely Legal Pawn" and "Aaron Paul Discovers Bryan Cranston Living in Breaking Bad RV" )

Anonymous

Are you gonna watch El Camino and make a reaction for it?

Daniel Chavez

Vince Gilligan has said in an interview that nobody really knows what he did contribute. They may be lying to only distance themselves, but Walt is also clearly an ego maniac so it wouldn't be surprising if he was wanting to get more credit than he deserves. Both would make sense.

"Today we're finishing Breaking Bad [...] What a fucking tragedy". Don't worry, you still have 5 (soon to be 6) seasons of Better Call Saul to go through, which is just as good!

Anonymous

Desire to watch is high but waiting for the full so I can rewatch the whole thing:)

@51:42 don't forget the literal plain crash as well lol

Same. I need it to be tomorrow morning in Serbia already (I'm in New York).

Everyone loves 14 and 16, this one was my 2nd favorite of the series. We go from Heisenberg to Walt and from Walt to Heisenberg all over again. The music coming in at the end is spine tingling. It's hard to watch the Jesse scenes but we now have a true villain. Now it's personal. And we know there is no way he will ever try to get away again, with Brock's life on the line. It's the perfect set up for the finale.

I have a feeling Kim will be one of the loves of their lives

heather

Love this episode so much. I think it’s a bit underrated since it’s between Ozymandias & the finale (the best series finale of all time in my opinion). RIP Andrea😭

Camzeee

I'm almost certain that it will be Better Call Saul. I doubt they want to leave the Breaking Bad universe just yet unless they feel like they want an extended break.

Dan

Agreed. If you haven't seen this breakdown of the episode, you should check it out. The Terrifying Brilliance of Granite State https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doW8lTzcR_Q

Dan

Yeah, I was thinking about that even last episode. During their Ozymandias review, Milena laughed at how someone in Season 2 was laughing at them talking about Jesse hitting rock bottom. But even as they talked about how "now" he's at rock bottom, I was thinking, "Eeeeeee there's a little ways more to go, actually..." It's also kind of funny to think about how reactors have got to be reacting to soft spoilers like that in the comments: Jesse has the worst day of his life, his hands are blue from port-a-potty goo, someone says, "He's hit rock bottom" and someone else responds with: "Hahahaha". Like, they've got to be thinking that the comment is about taking joy in Jesse getting screwed over. Reactors have got to be thinking, "What a sick bastard". And then you see Ozymandias, and you look back and go, "Ohhhhh they were laughing at how cute and naive we were at the time..." Kinda changes how you think about those kinds of things in retrospect that may have been wildly misinterpreted lol

Dan

Yeah that's a super easy one to forget because the only family member of the victims that we spend any time with on the show is Jane's dad, Donald, who caused the whole thing and killed himself. But 167 people is still Walt's highest single-event death count.

Dan

I agree with everyone saying that Granite State doesn't get the recognition it deserves, so I'll post this again for folks to enjoy; The Terrifying Brilliance of Granite State https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doW8lTzcR_Q I will say that I think this is another case where people at the different ends of the spectrum are simply the loudest, and I think there is still a sizeable portion of the BBad community that actually does rank Granite State among the best of the series. It's a perfect follow-up to the horror of Ozymandias, and also the perfect setup for the finale, managing both to (1) make us feel Walt has truly felt the impacts of his karmic punishments and (2) make us want to see Walt turn Heisenberg one more time. The fact that we can be amped for the finale after Ozy is kind of incredible. And I suspect the majority of BBad fans can see both the good and bad sides of Walt and agree with Milena as far as not being on either extreme. I think most of us just don't speak at great length about our views because they're already encapsulated by the people who make the strongest arguments on both sides, and a lot of people probably think (1) they don't have anything new to add, given the pre-existing extremes and (2) they don't want to sound wishy-washy and contradict themselves trying to explain their connections to both sides of Walt. But, really, this show probably wouldn't be as big as it is if people didn't have an appreciation for the two Walters (or three, if you include Jr.; or two if he's just "Flynn").

BobJ

you might want to check out the bloopers after you finish the series. Some of them are great.

joshua

I forgot they killed her I was just as surprised as yall were

Anonymous

Gretchen said Walter was dead. But honestly, at that moment, I think Heisenburg died.

Shadoe Price

I'm someone who hated Walter since the first season and even I find this episode heartbreaking so I can see where you two are coming from. But one of the things that I love about this episode is that even though this is probably the most sympathetic that the show has been toward Walter since the first couple of seasons it still doesn't excuse any of his actions. Andrea's death in this episode is entirely on Walter. Even when Walter is across the country and wasting away from cancer his previous decisions are so poisonous that innocent people are still being hurt by them.

amir.cricket

like skyler saidl; "whats one more? we already got this far", last episode hype
