I don’t know if you noticed or or not but Levi took Petra’s Survey Corps badge off her jacket (as a memory I guess) but to comfort the guy who went back for Ivan, Levi gave him Petra’s badge and lied saying it was Ivan’s. He may not express much be he’s so compassionate to others.

what makes the scene with Levi giving the survey corps emblem to this random guy is that it is the one he picked up from Petras body in the scene a few minutes before. Probably to keep it for himself but then he gave it away without hesitation.
