IT'S TIME!!!!!!!! THE GREATEST STRETCH OF EPISODES BEGIN NOW!!

Ryan Peters

They finally get to know who the "old friend" is 😆 Don't worry, I don't think anyone guessed right. I love these next several episodes. We're here 🤩👍

LETSSSSS GOOOOO

Antonio

Cant believe Ging (Netero's friend) is also Killua's grandpa. Is there anything this man can't do.

Anonymous

I've waited for this particular episode since the beginning of the arc, this is definitely a top 5 episode for me in the show. Now you girls finally entered the climax of this amazing arc! (And Netero is too badass lol.)

atoure32

ladiesssssssssss we made it

atoure32

you guys are the best reactors

StrawHat

yayyy i love this episodeeee

Nobody could prepare you guys for the rest of the arc

Jack SV

Great episode, as it was written.

oh my girlies you are not readyyyy and neither am i

Julius

“Oh my God! Imagine saying we’re watching episode 111” lol what were the odds they chose that number.

ODIS

"Lady Guanyin" is what the karate master said after seeing Netero's punch. Killua's Grandpa called Netero's ability "100 Guanyin Bodhisattva". Guanyin in Buddhism is the bodhisattva of compassion. Bodhisattvas are enlightened beings who chose to stay on earth as accessible examples for Buddhist faithful to follow. When he saw Netero's punch he recognized that it was basically "embodying" that gratitude/compassion that Netero trained with everyday, and he cried as a result.

Jack SV

There is not an exactly answer but most people agree Netero is at least 120 or a bit more than that. I love how both of you are trying to predict this anime and again and again y’all are proven wrong or thrown a curb ball of a surprise. Great review as always.

Oh boy, I just tell you to get used to the Narrator's voice... it's going to be a long journey

Isaac

The scene with Netero ogling Menchi's boobs was anime-only. I think the production thought it was a good joke. There are other theories on why, but they are still unfounded

The direction of this episode is crazy. For all the manga readers, this is a gem, because it is almost exactly like in the manga, even the narration of the facts, it's like the pages were flipping in the screen. That line ""only Killua noticed that Gon's eyes sank to a deep, dark, silent coldness besides him" always gives me chills.

ForeignKarma

Is it just me or I been stop looking for Ging even on the first watch lol , Like I knew Gon was looking for him but these moments in the show I couldn’t see Ging popping up.

ArtficialFlvrz

If I had to guess, the episode only took place across maybe 10-20 seconds. From the jump off the bird to hitting Pitou and her stopping herself outside the palace, while the crew was entering the portal at the same time, turning the corner around the stairs and seeing Youpi inside the palace. Anything that seemed slower was just for the benefit of stopping time to hear someone's reactionary thoughts in the moment.

bondbond53

'Bad move, little ant'

ODIS

Darrach

It’s time for the best character, Narrator-san

notkorra

it was two minutes, upon entering the portal they went back two minutes to netero's entering.

Darrach

SPOILER I have always assumed it’s Silva, based on what we see a little later

Ryan Peters

Introducing (sort of) one of the best and most necessary characters of this Arc.....Narrator-san 😆👍

ODIS

Ah maybe, I really don't remember all the details of the series as a whole. Edit: Oh nvm, I remembered the scene Darrach is talking about. So, yeah I also agree. He also called the person "fool" in this episode lol, so couldn't have been the audience.. smh

The first time I saw this arc I was amazed at how well suited and how much the narrator enriches the story, as you said, it feels so tense the chapter and so real, it's really happening and it's serious. And yes these episodes fly by ,I still remember when I saw this for the first time and the shook in me was immense, I was just like you guys, I couldn't predict absolutely nothing. And another thing apart is what killua saw in gon, that shadow that falls in his eyes and sinks into a dark and quiet void, TERRIFYING. I can't wait to see your reaction to the next episode 🫶🏻

jweher

“Killua alone noticed that Gon’s eyes sank to a deep, dark, silent coldness beside him.” Heartbreaking line. We’re starting to see why Killua looks so depressed in the intro/outro of this arc :(

Shivering King Banana

If this show had a 1000 episodes you would never have watched it XD

Shivering King Banana

It's a joke trope in Japan for the old master to be a pervert. Remember Master Roshi?

Wallas

Ants develop faster than Hunan girls, remember that Meruen only has a few months to live. the time he spent with Komugi was enough to make him change and rethink his existence

Anonymous

The Netero introduction scene where he is staring at the girl wasn’t in the manga, so it was weird choice to include in the anime

Karabo

Killua and Hisoka thinking they could beat Netero during the hunter exam is hilarious in hindsight

Darrach

As a reminder of who has which target: Knuckle and Shoot: Youpi Gon and Killua: Pitou Morel: Pouf

Miss Mewiththat

I'm so glad they decided to keep the narration in the anime Can you imagine this part of the arc without it?

Hussain Ghazaly

Ging is smart as usual, he outplayed everyone in the anime even the viewers 😂🤣

Anonymous

pretty sure Hisoka knew what monster netero is still wanted the fight because of the thrill and to some degree you could understand killua, the prodigy of the zoldyks, he thought netero just a normal man, without their nen knowledge

Anonymous

The slow pace and suspense before the shot of Netero and Killua's Grandfather riding the dragon is so damn effective

Payam Sharifi

Before the episode: "I don't think Ging is showing up this arc" Seconds before Netero's friend is revealed: "it's Ging, I'm 100% sure"

Payam Sharifi

I do think Gon getting Netero to use his other hand was a real moment and not something Netero let happen, because if you remember, Gon basically put him in a situation where Gon would get hurt if he didn't use his other hand lol. A very Gon way to "win".

SoClose

Really crying at the fact that they thought Ging was just gonna swoop in there on some shounen shit. 😂
