Hey everyone, I just wanted to post some pics here to hopefully tantalize you about Ruins Of The Human Temple, if you've been on the discord you may have seen some of them but I'll try to provide a little more context here. The past week I have been very busy going between Blender and Gamemaker, making/tweaking assets and then importing them into the game. I have some news to report about a couple of changes regarding game mechanics but I do not yet have a decent looking prototype to show you regarding that.

So, as I said before, I hope this gets you excited for ROTHT!

This is a mesh I am using for various purposes, basically they are teeth, or some sort of bony fragment erupting out of some rather raw looking skin. The teeth are distributed across the roof of the mouth and then the roof of the mouth's mesh deforms upward depending on their proximity to the teeth making "gums" sort of (gums featured in blue)

The image below was taken with more dramatic lighting and has also been processed pretty heavily.

The image below features some humanoid forms as well as some scrolling of the carving panel on a wall in the temple interior.

An alternate version of the image above, featuring the tooth/bone mesh.

Below are a series of images of what I am, for now, calling the temple guardian.

This character has a little to do with the gameplay tweaks mentioned before. It acts as a sort of entombed parser for the various glyphs you pick up in game, that is to say, you can interface and communicate with it using different combinations of glyphs that will yield different results.

Some shots from a cutscene

And an animation test for a "search through guts" mechanic

I hope something in all this has caught your eye! I'll have a post about my progress on DOB about a week from now. Hope you all are well and as always thanks so much for your continued support.

Yours In Games,

Yames

These are great. I also feel like if anybody was to make a Mystery Flesh Pit National Park, only you could pull it off
