Hey everyone! And welcome new Patrons! I noticed I have snagged a few over the last week or so, thank you so much!!!

I just wanted to give everyone an update on what I've been working on. I have a lot of the core mechanics all set up, I've been tinkering around with new ways of encrypting text files used by the game (Very boring I know!) but it was important to me because the way I was handling text before was basically storing it all in a big spreadsheet and hoping nobody looked at it/edited it. So basically, before, if you REALLY wanted to, you could go read EVERY line of text without playing it, and figure out all sorts of story/dialogue/plot points. With the way I am handling the data now, it's still possible to read all that, but you have to work a lot harder to get at it than just opening up the document(s) where all that stuff is stored.

Besides that, a lot of what I've been working on has been assets, assets, assets, which definitely has been more fun than just plugging away at bits of code. With how the game is turning out, this may be my most asset filled project yet though, at least for the visuals. Besides visual stuff, I've also been working on a few audio tracks as well, I've attached one to this post, its some spooky ambience that is kinda self-explanatory from the title!

Lastly, I wanted to give you all a little roadmap of things to come: I'm going to put in as much time as I can with the goal to release Cave Game to you all by the end of September. I want to do this because I believe you have definitely waited long enough AND I really want to try to have it done with so I can shift over to working on the demo for Discover Our Bodies before or around Halloween. After the demo is out, I will start working on the second game in the series of microgames (they really didn't turn out to be very micro but oh well) which, when that is done, I will deliver to you. And then I will make one more microgame, and, depending on how much time I have, I will make another one too. And then, I will bundle it all up and sell it as an anthology, if all goes well.

I hope that all makes sense I've been working all day so I am kind of delirious! Anyway, hope you are all doing well. If you have any questions or comments, definitely please let me know in the comment section or by messaging me, I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can.

Again, thanks for your support and I hope you are all doing well.

I don't know if this is weird, but I kinda imagine that you'd be able to make a game based on the Mystery Flesh Pit. I don't know why, but I'm not gonna question my brain's logic there
