Ahh, Nina and Alexander. This is one of those show-defining episodes that fans can't wait to talk about (and potentially spoil), and it comes up so early! Still, it's a dang gut-punch every time. "Ed...ward..."

If it makes you guys feel any better, here's a fun fact: at the end of a chapter in the manga where _any_ character dies (no matter what side they're on), the author will draw a cute and funny illustration of them going to heaven, to show that though it may be sad, they're going to be okay. ...All except for Mr. Tucker, who is the ONLY character that's actively and rightfully burning in hell. ❤

I first saw this episode in the 2003 Fullmetal when I was 14 and it traumatized me 😭 Can you imagine - it was even worse in the 2003 version lol. Notice, last episode was the extremes of religion and this episode is the extremes of science. Consider this your FMA:B initiation.

Yeah the 2003 version was the one that introduced me to this and man was that version was fucked up. But in a good way.

You spend like 3 episodes with the family. They play with Nina and the dog. That shit hits HARDDD
