Sam, Chrissy, Amy and Nina are four college friends who have chosen to go on a week's getaway to a forest resort. There may be nothing unusual about that but there is something unusual about Sam...

Sam was small. Very small. And although she had been told her height wouldn't be an issue on this vacation she had some doubts. But still, what was the worst that could happen?

Oh boy a Sam story I can't wait to read it. I always wondered how you as a writer write? How do you know when a story is too long or short? But anyway thanks for doing that voodoo that you do. Your blogs are interesting to.

I don't have a particularly complicated method of writing. If I think of an idea I jot it down on a notepad. Then later I will usually expand that into a full plan, either very detailed or more loose with just general ideas. Then I start writing. Sometimes my writing diverges from the pla a lot, other times not at all depending on the flow. I always have an end point in mind though. I always write knowing roughly where I want the characters to be and then start working towards that. As for whether a story is too long or too short... A story is done whenever it is done. Some stories are fully told in just a few pages whilst others can reach a huge word count. I tend to try not looking at word or page counts because it can make you feel pressured but ultimately once you get the characters to where you want them to be it is best to stop. Trying to carry on after that is a mistake I have made in the past a few times.
