Good night y'all

I know, Im uploading this one a bit later than normal.  I wanted to make sure something was ready before uploading the update but turns out I'm an idiot, why? Let's see why!

The Routine

This week It was not as unusual as others, but there were some surprises eh? As usual, I walked, not as much as I wanted but I needed the breath of fresh air, my mind had been wandering a lot with the project. So, I grinded some animation as you may have noticed. I made a Mooch animation which was fun to make, wanted to experiment with an "Undertale battle" system so figured it was worth a shot with it. Originally I wanted to make it way more uh, battle-like. But It would have needed too much cooking time, so I went with something more "Mini".

After I was done with it, An old friend came back to me. My hand pain. It hadn't been bothering me since, uh, maybe last year? I don't remember when was the last time I was having hand ache but oh well, here it is. So I rested my hand for a couple of days in the weekend, today was also "more chill" than usual, so I can rest the hand...


The Project

Turns out that making games is actually hard and challenging

So whats happening? 

WELL. Noelle's route is pretty much complete, its in a playable state from start to finish. 

...So whats the problem then?

THE PROBLEM IS THAT IN MY AMBITION I BECAME BLIND TO THE LOGIC OF THE BOARD. THE BOARD DOESNT CARE ABOUT OUR FAULTY LOGIC, IT ONLY OBEYS THE ABSOLUTELY LOGIC. FEELINGS. REASON. SANITY. ALL IS THROWN OUT OF THE BOARD, IT CARES NOT ABOUT YOUR PETTY. IT CARES NOT ABOUT YOUR SANITY. IT CARES NOT ABOUT YOUR FLESH. IT ONLY CARES ABOUT THE 1s AND THE 0s.

IT MEANS...

It means I'm an idiot and subestimated the kind of code that was required to make the content I was trying to do. While the route is playable, there are a couple of stupid shit that is happening in the code, nothing "wrong" or nothing "serious" but stuff that makes the game look amateur because I'm an amateur game dev.

So, the plan is as follows.

This upcoming month we are gonna have the VOICE OF THE DEAD POLL, which means, all voting tiers get to vote for their favorite suggestions and I animate the winner. There will be some changes in the dynamic, the VOTD tier is aware of these changes. Basically, there's now a couple of stuff to ensure there's more variety on the kind of content that wins.

While we wait for the poll to open up and win and all that, I'm gonna continue working on the animations of the project, I managed to advance Undyne and Toriel, but I wanna make some tests before committing to the final animations.

Im also probably gonna make another "Mini" and In the meantime, I will ask around how to fix these silly amateur mistakes.



The Extra

Im gonna start to watch "The Bear" tomorrow, I'm very into cooking and I have heard its very good. As for games, I been thinking of playing RDR2, yes. I never played it before. Like I said last week, I don't play a lot of AAA games, Im more into indies, so....yeah!


I was also thinking in getting this one called Gunbrella and Im gonna wait until SDV 1.6 comes out so I play it again, been itching some pixelsomething games.

Also, was waiting for someone to rip the sprites of RORR to make some content out of it, but it hasn't happened...but turns out, the game was done in GMS2, so! Well! I will take a look at that.


Forgive me if the illustrations of this week are a bit shitty and rushed. Like I said, my hand is a bit weak right now.
