Good morning y'all

As stated, I'm gonna do these weekly updates until the little project is finished. These little blogposts that talk about week-by-week updates will be called Obituaries, the idea is to call em that as a celebration of what happened in the week. I will talk a bit about my process and IRL situation so you guys know what's going on.

The Routine

Last week I arrived back home from the States, the stay in the States was pretty good, got a piece of equipment that will be super helpful going forward in the creation of content when I have to travel, I don't travel as much exactly, but sometimes I'm required to stay in a different place for months at a time. After I arrived home I had to put things in order, clean, do groceries, and get a Christmas tree. The pine aroma while enjoying a cup of hot coffee in the morning is one of the things I look forward to every December.

Getting back into the routine is always a bit of an adjustment but I'm getting there now I think.
So, while all this was happening, I was also working on the project. 

The Project

Heat In Season. This one will be a bit more ambitious than the previous interactive project, not only will it feature 3 different characters for the lewds, the pocketed space will be way bigger than the previous one too, one of the things I wanted to change was the fact that the first game happens all in "One Screen", well, that's no more! I fixed the code for that and now we got multi-screens baby! that's right!

So, the current pocketed dimension holds around 4 screens and some sub-screens. By screens I mean a normal size room that fits in your screen, the screens/maps are not as big as the one from Summer Memories, they are a bit more conservative, but the total space is more than double the size of Summer Memories, which also means more space for quests and characters!

The current focus of this week is writing characters, quests and fixing some code stuff, Im gonna try to bring a new system of delivering dialogue. This is where game dev and decisions are important, Im allowing myself up to two days to make this new dialogue system work, if I don't manage to make it work, I'm skipping it and simply working around the one we currently have. Why such a harsh decision? Because the current system works, while it's not perfect, it's still useful, the new system would give me more liberty, but it's something minor in the scheme of the game working. 


Wish me luck with this implementation, god knows I will need it.

The Extra

Undertale Yellow got released the day I was flying back home, I wanted to play it on the plane, but forgor to install it on my deck, so instead I watched a couple of movies on the plane: The DnD movie and Interstellar. The DnD movie is pretty fun, I was surprised by how much I liked it, its not PEAK but it's certainly fun and entertaining. Interstellar is my movie to go when I don't know what else to watch, I just love the soundtrack. 

The next day after arriving home I installed UTY and man, this game has certainly put the bar high for every other fangame in the UT/DR franchise, INCLUDING MINES. Im inspired and also realized a couple of stuff that I should be doing, I'm currently on Wild West Town, I forgot the name, so far my favorite part of the game has been "Totally not snowdin" and the Mines in "The Dunes", if you haven't played it, I would highly recommend it!


Oh! My coffee finished brewing, time for me to get back to the project.
