Dori obviously had no plans to refute my offer of three ships for all the stuff I demanded and with a down payment of the recipies I wanted along with the herbal cuttings, I left with Keqing following behind me.

And once we got a good ways away from the store Keqing spoke in warning. "Jake... You sold somethi-"

I cut her off as I said frankly. "Keqing, everything I make doesn't belong to Liyue remember that. I am giving away resources to Liyue in order to repay the guards and workers who came to help me build up my facilities to say nothing of your protection. Ningguang knows all to well that the ships need to spread across the world."

After a moment of silence as we continued to walk through the busy luxerious side of Liyue she said slowly. "How much do you know?" 

Knowing what she meant I shrugged and said flatly. "I know Liyue has lost the majority of its settlements outside of its main city here and the major settlements that have other forces that have a Nascent Soul or tier four martial artist watching the location." 

This world was utterly fucked the more I looked at it. Whereas in Genshin the incident of Khanreiah was suppressed by Celestia and the Seven Archons who sealed away the abyss basically.

But here... With no all seemingly powerful Celestia, the Abyss was slowly seeping and worming into the world like a rot. Honestly, it was a lot like the Abyss from Dark Souls, its power could be felt, harnessed, and even controlled for a time. But no matter what, all that touched it would become tainted by it. Which explained how the overly abundant spiritual energy of the world was making terrible monsters and demons.

If it wasn't for the abyss's corruptive nature this world would be just a 'normal' cultivation world basically. But now it was on Darksouls difficulty where all the gods and strongest people were for the most part camping the spots where the abyss had broken into the world.

"I am going to expand past just Liyue Keqing. I literally cannot have all my factories in one place as they pull the resources from the ground and thus if too many miners are in one area... Nothing will be pulled out at a scale to fit my refiners." I stated making Keqing's face twist before she asked.

"Are you going back to Mondstadt as well?" She asked a bit nervously making me blink before I smiled wryly as I realized my cover story for entering this world was a bit suspect and it was likely even now that Yelan was pulling her hair out in trying to find my paper trail from Mondstadt... That didn't actually exist.

I shrugged and said frankly. "Yes probably, though it would be easier if I go to Fontainne or Sumeru honestly as the Dragonspine Mountain..." 

Keqing gave me a knowing look as we I finished my words quietly as that place was just fucking terrible with how it was utterly overrun by demons and draconic blooded monsters that had retreated from fighting humanity.

Shrugging I said jokingly. "I want to expand my operations. And if it makes you feel better I promise I will make sure Liyue gets my newest toys haha."

My vision blurred and the next thing I knew was pain as the sound of crunching wood rang out as a large weapon slammed into the ground where I was previously while I was slammed into a wall from Keqing pushing me out of the way of the weapon that had also cut her arm deeply.

"Ah, you pushed him. That's inconvenient." A female voice spoke out with no emotion and I grimaced and opened my eyes and saw a dark-haired woman flying above Keqing with what looked like water running through her hair and draconic horns that had hydro-blue glowing spots on the dragon-like horns on her head. 

And the weapon that Keqing pushed me out of the way of was a large spear conjured out of water that broke apart as Keqing said solemnly. "General Chizapus... Why are you in Liyue, the Yaksha were ordered by Sect Master Lapis to stay out of the city!" 

The hydro Yaksha gave Keqing a bland look before tilting her head to the side and saying frankly. "I was ordered to follow Cloud Retainer and her disciples here to Liyue to make sure she got to inspect his new flying machine." 

She then looked down at me and as the previously busy street's people fucking fled at literally superhuman speed I realized that the Yaksha definitely had a reputation and it wasn't a good one. "He is weak... His mind may be omnipotent but a dagger thrown in the dark will kill him." She stated frankly making my lips twitch.

"And trying to kill me was a good idea?" I snapped out and there was a dark something in her eyes.

But it was suppressed as she said plainly. "You were in no danger besides getting dosed in some water until Keqing pushed you aside." But before she could continue a soft thumping noise rang out and the water Yaksha's face twitched before she looked upward and I did the same as I gingerly sat up and ignored the ache in my side and back from where I was thrown.

As further above us was a man who was flying in the air with his feet being supported by a glowing glyph and he looked kinda like what Zhongli/Rex Lapis looked like with glowing robes covering in Geo gold runes and streams. "Sister Bonanus you are making a terrible first impression upon him... Now come along as Sect Mistress Cloud Retainer will already be most furious at you a peak Nascent Soul testing someone who is only a half step cultivator and martial artist."

The man then looked to me and bowed his head to me slightly and said quietly in a way that despite the dozens of meters that separated us I knew only I heard him speaking as his spiritual energy carried his voice. "Please forgive my Martial sister... She just got out of serving a tour in the Abyss for the last twelve years and is still on edge... No to be frank she is not in her normal headspace at all so I ask that you do not take offense, young man." 

I took a breath hearing the literal immortal Adepti/Yaksha giving me a heartfelt apology and knowing that holding a grudge for the water Yaksha having PTSD from probably non-stop combat against monsters was stupid to say the least. I looked over at Keqing and said aloud. "I accept your apology Yaksha, but please excuse me as I take my companion away so she may heal." 

The Geo Yaksha waved his hand in dismissal with Keqing walking over to me and holding my arm with her uninjured arm as even while we were talking she had bandaged her arm with a elixer dosed bandage. And once she got her hand on my arm we quickly left the scene where the Geo Yaksha turned to look at the Hydro one.

Watching the young genius inventor all but running away as the young Yuhung of Liyue possessively dragged him to safety, The Geo Yaksha Menogias turned to his 'youngest' sister in Bonanus and sighed. "Your mind is polluted by the darkness of eternal combat sister... You haven't unclenched your heart to the light of the world in fear of the darkness creeping in."

Bonanus at hearing his words closed her eyes for a long moment and visibly took a breath before saying plainly. "We needed to know if he was an old monster in hiding. Or worse a dead god that possessed his body. We know that is not the case as I did tag him with my waters and I know his soul has been washed to reflect his body's age." 

The Geo Yasha just dragged a hand down his face and before Bonanus could react a powerful hand slammed down on her shoulder and as she whirled around with a water spear forming in her hand a bundle of feathers smacked her in the face making her recoil and the figure ducked under her hastily waved spear of water.

"Hmph! One is most filled with wroth indeed! Now how is One to approach the inventor when he thinks Adepti are just warriors who fight monsters for years and resort to violence at every chance." From out of the void came a new woman with a tight-fitting dress with dark hair and green highlights running through her hair. And this one radiated a deeper more mature power than the two Yaksha but at the woman's words they both looked confused with the water Yaksha responding confused.

"Sect Mistress... In the last several hundred years. What official mission has the Yaksha been given that wasn't a direct order to go kill an abyssal creature, a demon or a monster?" 

To which Xianyun or Cloud Retainer could only stop and her face pinched as she realized she sent the entirely wrong organization to make first contact with the young inventor.
