An early artistic & aesthetic influence of mine was Space Ace / Dragons Lair - specifically, getting to switch from a mousy nerd to a hunky action hero laid the groundwork for loving beefy dudes later in life. One of my goals for the final game is to have at least one (1) animated cutscene, probably in the intro. 

And if I can really get into a groove with animation, I'll do a little Space-Ace-esque clip every time you go up a level in muscles and your sprite changes.
