Kickstarter Comic project? (Patreon)

So i've been wanting to make a new comic as of late but I can't afford to make it as it takes a long time and my commissions and content i make for here is my only source of income and it'd mean that I won't be able to take new commissions for a while.

 It was brought to my attention that I could use kickstarter to sponsor the project. I want to know what you guys think? should I do it?

  I love doing comics, I miss doing my own projects heavily and I feel like I'm fading a little bit as an artist. I want to be able to bring fresh content that represents me as a creator, not just as an artist that takes commissions. What do you think? leave your opinions, suggestions and ideas in the comments please
