I don't recall how much did I tell you before but I was asked to get my thyroid checked and they did find some anomalies. Nothing too worrying but still things to look further.
Yesterday they diagnosed me with hypothyroidism.
I knew something was wrong cuz I was getting so tired it was hard to stay up during the day but I couldn't sleep during the night, I have such a hard time focusing and in general to motivate myself to do anything. It got to a point where I thought it was some sort of side effect of covid that overstaid its welcome lol. (the being tired all the time one) but the doctor that checks me for diabetes called me one day and suggested to get my thyroid checked cuz he suspected something might be wrong and he was right.
I am glad That it seems the treatment is not too expensive or heavy and since day one of taking my meds I feel stronger than yesterday (not a Britney reference lol) and I was able to work again after so long.
I was so afraid to tell you guys I've been having so much trouble getting to work cuz I feared I'd lose your support (cuz I know you care about me but you also are here for the artz and I respect that) but I am happy to tell you that I am feeling so much better and today I worked like I've not done in weeks.
As soon as I finish all the owed stuff I might open commissions again cuz I do need to pay bills (kind of maxed out my credit card with all the medical bills lol gotta pay that) I've had friends help me with meds and rent but I still gotta come up with some more so expect some slots soon ish 💖

I am very happy about this having a solution, I had to share it with ya! Thank you for sticking with me during this harsh times.

That's fantastic. A diagnosis means you can get treatment and feel better. I've been feeling in a similar way and was just reading up about thyroid disorders. Time for me to see a doc too.

The test is easy to get and the treatment is not too heavy and you feel the strength back from day one

I had an enlarged thyroid that they kept an eye on until they saw it was still getting bigger. My “two to three hour” surgery took four, which freaked out my husband. It turned out it had gotten wrapped around a nerve to my vocal cord, so they had to be very careful. But I came out fine. My voice was rough for a few months, but I’m fine now, and I’m still singing. But I have to take Unithroid first thing every morning. I’m sending you my most positive energy. I have no doubts you’ll come through it fine! Just be positive and you’ll be fine. ::BIG VIRTUAL HUG::
