1.9.0.1 Patch Released (Patreon)

This uses a new direct download updater which will be similar to how future releases and updates will be handled. 1.9.0.1 fixes all 3 major issues listed in yesterday's note.

Instructions:

  • Download the zip below
  • Unzip into the folder where VaM.exe is located
  • Run VaM_Updater.exe (Windows Defender SmartScreen might complain the 1st time your run this, but choose More info -> Run Anyway)
  • The updater should download 1.9.0.1 patch and update your copy.

If I release any more 1.9.X updates, this same updater will be able to be used to get those.

It should start downloading automatically. Check your browsers download folder it should be there.

Still have quick fly away in some scenes I've made and the physics isint the same as with the last release. I've got a wall pounding a women from behind and shes not even moving from the hips up.

Seems like a false positive. I've checked with several anti-virus and was clean. Windows Defender flags exe out of a zip file from unknown source which is why I put that in my post. I'm going to look into how to get officially registered as known source to prevent that. This patch exe is something I actually compiled myself from source code in Visual Studio, although I'm using someone elses source code with modifications for customization. I think false positive because patchers by nature have code to do binary editing which could be a red flag. Note that patcher does not need to run as administrator and only operates on local files.

Should be mentioned that the updater requires .NET 3.5. Not a big hassle as Windows asks you if you wanna install it right away. Then rerun the updater. (Edit: Only applies if .NET 3.5 wasn't installed before, of course.)

Make sure to place contents of zip in your existing 1.9 install area before running the update exe or you will get the 404 message.

Question: Has the issue with models resizing from small to big been fixed by not clipping through the bed/floor? And performance question: Will it support multicore cpu's in the future? The soft body physics is cpu based, yet only uses half of my new 8700k.

To clarify, you mean the contents of the VaM_Updater1.9 folder need to be in the same folder as VaM.exe?

only works when i run as admin, otherwise it crashes.
