...and therefore needs to be pushed out to mid-December to complete everything. Apologies, but I promise the wait will be worth it! I have about 10 exciting things in progress, but none close enough to complete the build in time for the usual end-of-month release. I have therefore decided to push the release out to December and make it a double packed release. I'm also going to re-organize how I plan things on Trello that works better for my working style and will reduce my stress around each release. It is quite hard to know at the beginning of month where the development path will exactly take me, so I would prefer to just have things in a progress list and then move to completed as I finish them. I hope you can understand and will continue to support this project in spite of the delay and slight change in strategy. I'm so very thankful for each and every backer out there! I would not have made it this far without you. I'm in this project for the long term so I have to be smart about how I manage my time and stress. Sometimes that might mean making adjustments to the release schedule or planned items for that month.

To hopefully ease the pain of waiting for 1.4, here is a teaser of some things in store for 1.4 release!

1. Clothing customization. Choose from various texture sets unique to each item. Zillions of color options. You will have full access to every shader parameter! You can make a gold metallic thong if you so desire. As you can see below there are a lot of options. 

2. Hair customization. Choose from texture sets and colors, similar to clothing material editor.

3. Web Browser & Image Panel objects. Open image in web browser, click the copy to clipboard button, and then in Image Panel click copy from clipboard. Instant decoration using any image from the web! Or use the Image Panel to display an image reference to help you build the perfect character. Also works with animated gifs. Make a room with walls covered in jiggly bits.

4. New environment. Bedroom with windows and web TV. Sit back and relax on the bed and watch some YouTube with your favorite Mate, or spy on them through the window while they are watching something naughty.

5. 40+ new female morphs. Many new body shapes!

6. Improved character details. Improved female genitalia soft body physics and morphing. Added male character eye blink, eyelid movement, and micro-expressions (to match what female has now) to get rid of that zombie look.

Several more surprises coming in 1.4...

Sweet! Each update looks better and better, it's very impressive how far you've come in only a few months. As a bisexual man I hope to see more morphs for the male body as well soon, though. I remember seeing on your Trello that you had plans to have the males catch up to the females eventually. :)

Kinda wish the update added a bit more, but the hair options seriously needed a boost. Also PLEASE work on fixing the frame rate?? I have a gtx 1080 with a new gen CPU and the game lags with 40-45 FPS a lot at many scenes.. surely this can't be normal?

This project is nuts. Are you just one dev or is there a support team? Either way, VAM is leagues beyond Illusion in animation realism...the only thing you've got left to match them at is in clothes/hair/colors variety, at this point. Maybe sound, I guess. Quick question: I have the creator pack but can't figure out how to change skin color, like in the 1.3 trailer. How do dis?

Yeah that seems off. Run the CPU and GPU benchmark shortcuts I provide and report back what you get. That might indicate where issue is. Unity 2018.1 promise "Job System" which will allow me to multi-thread a lot more things than I can multi-thread now. It should reduce the main thread bottleneck.

Thanks! Single developer but I try to use others assets from DAZ and Unity store as best possible so I don't have to do everything. For instance upcoming web browser is a Unity Store Asset (although I had to tweak it a bit). Sound is definitely a HUGE outstanding item. It is a project all by itself. Thank you! Yeah I want to deliver quality 1st and foremost. That is what my project is about. I set out to create the most realistic sim I could manage. I don't want to compromise and just jam something out to meet a date. I did, however, try to put a bit too much in this release! :)

J'aurai des petites idée qui pourrai rendre encore plus réaliste...au niveau de la poitrine, c'est qu'elle soit moins ferme...plus de souplesse et que la poitrine tombe quand la femme est à 4 pattes et que la poitrine s'étale quand la femme est sur le dos.....et si c'est possible de gérer les mouvements et le touché avec le système LAEP Motion ( hand Tracking).......je sais que se que je demande représente beaucoup de travail....je comprendrai que tu ne veuilles pas le faire car se sont pas tes priorités...et que ca soit trop difficile a développer....et encore une fois ...ton travail est de trés bonne qualité.....MERCI...je t'encourage à continuer....

Can you give us a short update on the audio features coming in 1.4? What sounds will there be?

I'm still working on it which is why it is not listed here. 1.4 should come with some kind of sound support, but not 100% sure on the exact quality of it. I'm messing with several audio plugins and still trying to determine how to get the most realistic implementation possible. I have a nice bank of sounds ready so that is not a huge issue. Triggering, mixing, filtering to get realistic results is the hardest part. I want to get it right, and I clearly underestimated this task!

Wow that sounds super promising for the future! Can't wait to try on next gen headsets. For the chest - you have full control over the "spring" settings which should allow adjusting firmness, but perhaps you are asking for more range in the movement? Leap motion support is still on my list to investigate, but it just doesn't get as much priority because of the small user base for it. I do want this for myself though because I think it would be awesome as well, so I will definitely get to it at some point!

I'm still thrashing like crazy on this everyday, but having a more flexible release schedule will reduce my stress. Some features take many days or even weeks to complete, so it can be tricky to release on a specific date sometimes. Thanks!

Please release at least one new build every 2 months... It does not need to be a break-through build - let it just contain a number of features/bug fixes you were able to finish in that period. Do you know anything about Kanban software development approach? It has a useful metric called WIP (work in progress). Kanban says that you need to limit your WIP and you must not try to do 20 things at once (in progress). Because 1 feature which is done on 100% is better than 10 features 'in progress'. Just saying :)

Yeah, I am truly only working on 1 or 2 things at a time, but I might start something and step away from it if it is too complex of a task for the time that I have. I work in chunks and try to accomplish at least 1 thing with each work session. Doesn't always work as some things take 15-20 hours to implement. I'm not overwhelmed with the number of items. What was stressing me was the precise release schedule. I could have released 1.4 as is and it would still be good, but I have so many things close to being finished it made sense to push it out a couple of weeks to wrap those up. I would still like to make a release every month if possible. Might do 6 weeks though. I'll see how it goes after 1.4. Thanks!

Someone earlier mentioned they had their graphics cards setup as SLI. Does this VAM support SLI?

Doesn't have specific support for it like Nvidia VRWorks, but I believe SLI can be used in a more traditional manner.

i'd recommend a 6 week schedule, e.g. release update, patch after 3weeks, then release next major update 3weeks later, throw into the occasional mini dlc, to make sure everyone is checking in.

My recommendation would be to try and find collaborators. It's just not going to get the type of headway required when you work on it by yourself. With more people involved and more progress, you can find a bigger fanbase and make more money.

Not currently. In future release once performance is improved. Unity 2018.1 is adding a better multi-threading system and should help me be able to get past current bottleneck on main thread.

Having some trouble with the UI, it feels quite awkward to use, especially the locomotion and the possession system. This is pretty much the only real reason why I have not made any pledges yet.

Suggestions? I haven't heard that many complaints in this regard. Locomotion and possession have been tweaked several times already based on feedback.

Thanks for the update! Would it be possible for a future release to easily grow and shrink characters? I know you can change the world scale, but it would be great to make scenes involving, say, a giantess and a regular sized guy.

Yes! I agree. I can't export the textures due to license agreements, but UV templates would probably be ok. Hello, yesterday i have a idea. You can make a music panel, there you can See privat music. Play pause and speed. Before you (all people) musst add paste private music in to the folder. Next idea, the photo panel, you can take a picture in a folder after that you can See it in the gameand change the scala, Like a wall. to create a girl Like the picture. I hope you understand what i mean

That is just a limitation of current skin collider system. It needs about 3x more colliders, but that is not feasible due to performance considerations.

1.4 will have web panel and web browser. You put any image you want on the panel. In the browser you can play music via youtube or other site.

I read some complicated things around the audio and lipsync. Manual animation is very demanding and time consuming. I think it would be good to use facial motion capture of real people. I once bought the Reban Robotics software - MYCAP Studio 2012 Professional. I used two PS3-Eye cameras and it worked great after solving a few problems. Today, however, there are easier ways to use, for example the use of a Kinect sensor. I do not know what technology you use, these are just my thoughts ...

I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this, but here goes, hoping either Meshed VR or another patron can answer my question : I don't understand Patreon's new pricing. I did read the email with attention, and also did so with the FAQ, but still cannot understand the change, perhaps this is due to english not being my first language. As a $8 Patron, what will change for me ?

Based on what I read, you will pay $8 + 2.9% + $.35. That works out to $8.58 or so. Basically they are moving the service charge from provider to patron.

And some clothing items have special requirements (like shoes and glasses) that don't use same system. So it might be a bit tedious or unreliable to have users do this themselves. This will probably be even more true once clothing simulation is enabled.

The fact that he also does this, as a single developer managing such an ambitious project, is pretty dope. The rest of the crowdfunding world should take note.

I have been looking around for this some. There are 2 possibilities. The easiest would be strapon that will be a clothing item. I should be able to get something like that in fairly soon. The other option is to support a 3rd mesh that uses genesis 2 female body with a custom graft. That is a lot more work as it requires rework of all the soft body physics as the mesh will be different than the existing female mesh. Maybe someday I will have time for this.
