My name is pronounced "flux" btw, but I can't be offended when people pronounce it wrong as it's a little obscured.

I also love these zine reviews! My dude, how can you be an OSR Tastemaker and also be unfamiliar with B1: The Keep On The Borderland!?! It is THE ur-sandbox :D Get thee to YouTube, Ben, and research!!! I’m joking, of course. But only half-joking. The more I’ve learned about KoTB the more I can see its influence and impact on so much of old school gaming. It’s a fascinating piece of gaming history. Unrelated: I’ve got the Beyond The Borderlands zine. The bit about getting lost in the woods is explained a bit more in the text. The hexes with forest drawn on them represent deep impenetrable woods. Very difficult to navigate. So you always deviate a bit. I’m not 100% sure I like it, but that’s the basic idea.
