Think I'm getting the hang of FFMPEG. As far as I can see this gif looks better than the last one but I'm seeing weird results when posting it on Discord. 

This could all be avoided if I could just upload .mp4's as previews lol.

Nah, just looking for a new way to create .gifs. Was not happy with what I used before.

The way Discord handles and renders gifs is super frustrating. I don’t know the specifics of their implementation but it absolutely visually DESTROYS gifs that look perfectly fine on literally any other applications.
