For context, the Black guy is Jim Brown, one of the best NFL running backs of all time who wanted to get into movies.

An yes, Tim Burton. Known for being a ‘visual director’ as opposed to other film directors.

I can completely relate to your driving story George, I went back to university in my late twenties and everyone seemed so young and I really stood out!

A joke many people missed. When they examine the gum the Martian was using to breathe, they say it was N2O… nitrous oxide. Nitrous Oxide is better known as the sedative laughing gas. Of course the Martians breathe laughing gas.

Ed Wood is a masterpiece. Hope you guys check it out soon.

My internet cut out briefly, literally just as this movie ended and you guys started laughing before the credits... Fuck you Tom Jones... Fuck you.

How is it you've now seen Mars Attacks but not Spielberg's sci fi classic "Close Encounters of The Third Kind"(1977)? lol

Just realised this is one of two Natalie Portman movies where Parliament gets blown up, heh

I'm incredibly confused by the idea that the aliens in Independence Day are intergalactic anything. They came from the moon. Earth's moon.

Wow. George mentioned how beautiful Pam Grier is, and not a single mention of Jackie Brown in these comments. Incredibly, incredibly disappointing. George and Simone, you guys need to pencil in Jackie Brown. It is Tarantino's most underrated movie, and it's personally in my top 3 of his movies. It's so good, such a great soundtrack, and an amazing, amazing performance from Pam Grier and Samuel Jackson.

lol the driver's ed videos the government makes. too bad they didn't show you the old "Red Pavement" style videos like we had to watch back in the day. kind of like watching an 80s style action B-movie with gratuitous blood splatter and bad acting.

The president's final speech to the aliens, ending with "can't we all just... get along?" was very much a Rodney King reference. I remember the whole movie theater laughing when he said that, because we laughed at terrible things back then. King's quote from a news interview was quoted by everyone for years, like if two kids got in a scuffle on the playground, another kid would have to say "hey, hey! Can't we all just get along?" And everyone would laugh.
